There is something confusingly artistic about this place. Through a fairly straight forward frontage you enter a world of objet d’art. There’s no consistent theme apart from perhaps things that are eye-catching. Then there’s the room layouts. It was never intended as a hotel, so each incredibly high-ceilinged room has been adapted in a different way to include its en... More

We stayed with the family two adults and two children and they gave us the top floor rooms giving us freedom and relative privacy. Our stay was absolutely excellent. The hotel is kept immaculately clean with linen changed every day and service definitely above what you expect in a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is not included at 18 euro is... More

We booked the Clos Raymi for our three night stay in Epernay. It is a little bit of a walk into town but my wife and I actually enjoyed that after good meals and champagne tasting. We stayed in the Touscan room and it is well done for a three star hotel. The bathroom is very nice and included nice... More

Do not be fooled by the French word Hotel in the name, as it is an ancient usage meaning house. Rooms, bathrooms and breakfast are great, but the WiFi is poor and one must lug baggage up and down stairs. Madam is efficient and friendly if one is nice to the house cat. The location is perfect for a short... More

We stayed here to take advantage of the champagne houses in Epernay and arrived late afternoon. There is parking for about six or seven cars at the front of the hotel. This would have been a grand French house at one time and the style and setting are very charming with a breakfast room and lounge on the ground floor... More

I would agree with many of the other reviews. This hotel is not cheap, but the situation, location and ambience of the hotel are all lovely. Be prepared for no English being spoken which we found unusual in all the hotels we have stayed at in France. Breakfast was lovely - wonderful bread and jams, selection of cold items, and... More

We were expecting a boutique hotel - the pictures on the website looked great, it's described as a hotel and it is not cheap. It was though a guesthouse, and not a great one at that. The building itself is beautiful and the location is convenient, albeit in a somewhat unattractive part of town. There is also good parking and... More

We visited this hotel as two couples. One took a standard room (provencale) the other paid to upgrade to the loft. Both rooms seemed lovely and both had excellent bathrooms and comfy beds. The super king in the loft room was actually two separate beds which was a shame. Great location for exploring champagne, plenty to do see and taste... More

Nice place very close to Avenue de Champagne. The rooms were clean and nice. No air condition but since it was a quiet area we could sleep with the windows open. We could have breakfast in the garden with all we could wish for. Fresh orange juice, warm bread and good cheese. Parking inside the gates. Lots of Scandinavians.

This is a charming hotel where both the interior design as well as the staff/owners are very french! I often stay at hotels with more modern design and less genuine so this was a treat for me! We were 4 friends staying in two double rooms. I stayed in the "Champagne" room which was fairly small but cosy and nice.... More
