Nice and cozy. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a bistro downstairs which is supposed to be the best restaurant in town, a bit expensive actually. Well furnished by bath linen. It is in the perfect position for the tour in the champagne. Few km away from the cave...

Had a stay here on the way to the South of France. Although the room was small it was clean with all we required including air conditioning. Managed to part right across the street and were u[ and off early in the morning. We ate here and food was good and fresh

The Hotel is a good choice since the renovation but is relatively high priced. It is clean and currently the choice in town. The food is ok, in accordance to what you expect in France- wines are fine. Service is the most positive aspect- friendly and also ! some speak english.

All the furniture, bathroom fittings and fitments were new, but it still needed decorating (something we werent advised at the time of booking). Staff were very pleasant, and the breakfast was OK, but the evening meal in the bistro area was not appealing. Location was good for the town - but the town did nothing for us. Wifi was not... More

The hotel was renovated in the last moth which was very necessary- now only the walls need repaint, the hotel has fair setup and friendly service, there is a brasserie as well as a restaurant and the dishes are ok. As this hotel has a long history the rooms are sometimes odd and small but this has also flair.

Stayed here for one night in July. Very friendly welcome from le patron. Room fine, but rather small and dark. Bathroom recently refurbished, but again very small. Well positioned for centre of town. Hotel is in process of refurbishment. Ate in restaurant. Food really well presented and tasty. Each course explained in detail by waitress. Restaurant lacked atmosphere, as we... More

Drove into Chaumont and parked outside the Tourist Office. Of the hotels on their list this was just across the street. Clean, quirky and with a warren of passages and rooms on different levels, the hotel oozed charm. The Michelin starred restaurant was closed when we visited so we ate in their brasserie instead. Most of the other patrons seemed... More

This hotel we came across late one eveing out of season and desperate to sleep after a llong drive. The staff were so accomodating, helpful and welcoming to our dog too, he was allowed in the room and made such a fuss of. The rooms have all been revamped and are so cosy especially as it was such a cold... More

We stayed in this hotel last night and were extremely disappointed. The welcome was a barrage of information about all the different 'formules' available in the two restaurants - one of which was described to us as Michelin-starred, which I haven't checked. We chose to eat in the other one and the food was almost inedible - unappealingly presented and... More

I found this hotel purely by chance, as I needed a place to stay on the way back from Toulon to England. I just picked it from the Satnav. There is no parking at the hotel, but this free overnight in the local streets. This is not your "plastic" chain hotel, but is very individual. The rooms are all on... More
