This hotel definitely out-classes its two-star rating! Our room was simple, but clean, reasonably spacious, and even had a bit of character. Staff are welcoming and friendly, and the whole hotel is clean, neat and well set up. Its also easy walking distance from the train station, and the nearby neighbourhood has good restaurants, bars, arts, history etc, so it... More

We booked this hotel because it was close to the train station, and we had an early morning train to catch. The staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to move into our room almost as soon as we arrived, even though it was mid-morning. We were pleased with our room, as it was clean, a good size and... More

We had an excellent stay at the Mirabeau and found it well located for the city centre, though a fair walk to the old city. Parking can be difficult, but the spaces outside are, free if you're lucky enough to get one; there is charged for parking close by. Our room was very spacious and rather grand for a 2... More

Absolutely lovely hotel. Close to grade du nor (train station) and tourism office. Hotel reception very helpful with advise on restaurants. Rooms were clean, spacious and pretty. Would stay again and recommend. Its only 2 stars but its worth at least 3.

I stayed at six hotels during my tour of France this year -- and this was my favourite. Starting with the friendly greeting at reception, this hotel has got it right. It has a two star rating but I've stayed at so-called three and four star hotels which were not half as good. Pleasant, good size rooms, tastefully decorated &... More

Just spent three nights in this lovely hotel in the centre on Tours. It's situated on a leafy main thoroughfare just off the motorway. We had a room at the back and heard no traffic at all. The room was well furnished with a good shower. The layout was a little unconventional with the loo one side of the bed... More

I spent just one night there but everything was great: the service; room; cleanliness. The built was reformed and my room had a beautiful decoration. I felt like I was sleeping in a castle! The room is big and the location is good. The soundproof window works perfectly, but also there is no traffic at night.

Dear Braboleta, Thank you ever so much for your lovely comment! We are very glad indeed that you so enjoyed your large room. As a matter of fact, we are rather proud of these large rooms, which we believe have kept the old world charm of the building. Thank you as well for your appreciation of our soundproof windows. As... Stayed 2 nights in the Mirabeau while touring the Loire Valley. The hotel is very well located, approximately 5 minutes walk to the main street, shopping and eating area in Tours. The hotel has a lot of character and the rooms in the hotel were all slightly different. It was a very comfortable stay and excellent value for money. The... More

We stopped at the Mirabeau twice - on the way to and from Arcachon - to break up a long journey. Not being familiar with Tours, it was picked almost out of the hat, so it was great to find that the location, for car drivers, is excellent. The hotel is situated on the Boulevard Heurteloup, just a 5-minute walk... More

The hotel is located a pleasant walk away from the railway station. My room faced a side street which was quiet enough to allow me to open the window overnight. The room was furnished tastefully with fine older pieces of furniture. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern but also reflecting serious good taste. I loved the wide... More
