A spacious room at a very reasonable price and valuable advice from the owner on where to eat and French pronunciation. The hotel itself is in a wonderful part of the town and the owners are very charming and genuine. A short walk to the train station makes coming and going and day excursions to Amboise and Chenonceau a breeze... More

Stayed 3 nights in this cute, lovely hotel. Located in a nice street, surrounded by restaurants cafés and bars. Close to the main train station, 10 mins by walking. Even closer to the Loire River, 2 mins walking. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. And a very adorable dog. I'll come back again.

Family stayed with us in town, and this hotel is conveniently located if you plan to visit the city. The street itself is one full of little bars are restaurants, and thus a great start if you stay in Tours. The rooms are larger than I expected and well decorated and clean. It is clearly a family owned hotel, with... More

This is a great little hotel in the heart of Tours. It's an easy less than 10 minute walk from the train station and tourist office. Since I came in by train, I'm not sure about the parking or convenience of driving to the hotel as it is on a small one way, pedestrian type street. The hotel itself is... More

First of all Tours is a beautiful place. The hotel is on a vibrant street with loads of different bars and restaurants, off the main drag but still very central and only a short walk to the station etc. not too busy so noise wasn't a problem, our room overlooked the courtyard at the back though. Breakfast was really nice... More

Stayed in a triple room which was very spacious and clean. Hotel is located on a street with a great choice of restaurants and bars. The owner recommended a few local restaurants (Le Laurenty and Au Lapin Qui Fume), both of which we enjoyed. Breakfast at the hotel is available for 7 euros pp (toast with various spreads, croissants, yoghurt,... More

If you are looking for value in Tours centre, this place should be on your list. Small family run hotel right amongst the action with nice helpful owners. Refurbished rooms with great showers. Get a room at the rear as the street is buzzing. Pleased with our choice.

The Colbert is on a busy street full of varied restaurants. The owners are very welcoming and helpful, this is our fourth stay and is a perfect stopover on return trip north. The rooms overlooking courtyard best but street noise not that bad.

I loved this place and only regret that I couldn't stay longer. The owners were very lovely and helpful. Spacious and clean rooms. Mine had a balcony overlooking the street below. Located on a busy little laneway with great restaurants and within walking distance to the attractions. Highly recommended.

Hotel Colbert had the friendliest most helpful owner we’ve ever encountered, he just could not do enough to make our stay wonderful. Location is brilliant, right in the centre of things, but our courtyard facing room was very quiet. The owner gave us a selection of recommendations for dinner. Loved our room (which seemed especially huge after Paris), and slept... More
