It's the staff that makes this hotel worth it. The room was not very attractive, but adequate and clean. There's a small bar and breakfast area. For meals there is no shortage of restaurants a few steps away. The paella at Ola Paella just a short distance away was fabulous. more

We chose the hotel based on its price & recommendations on this site - little did we know that our room would be over a pedestrian way with many bars and restaurants that stay open until dawn. We had a very bad experience - no AC, very loud. Would not recommend. more

Good value, clean and excellently located - and the courtyard is quiet which is just as well as you're just a couple of doors down from Tours' most poular (and best) pub - The Pale more

Just stayed here and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Great location in that it is close to the station, lots of restaurants close by, and in easy walking distance to the old part of town. You could probably skip the breakfast as there are so many options near by that you could get for a fraction of the price. more

After reading some reviews and with a last minute change of plans we decided to stay in Tours, its a great city. The Hotel Colbert as all the other review suggest is basic and in need of renovation, but the location is good and with the help of the friendly staff very able to secure free parking on street close... more

We endorse the positive comments of other reviewers about Hotel Colbert. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated in a mainly pedestrianised street full of restaurants, close to the river and cathedral and about 10 minutes walk from the train station. The room we had was spacious, peaceful, (overlooking the courtyard as we had requested)... more

My wife and I spent 1 night at the hotel Colbert, which is very conveniently located in the hearth of the old town. Our room was certainly not fancy, but large and clean. The bathroom was a little bit "old style", but again very clean. Overall the hotel is OK, it may need some renovations but at 55 Euro/night it... more

Hotel Colbert is right in the heart of a busy street and within walking distance of numerous attractions. There is definitely lots to see and do even if you don't go out to tour the Loire Valley! The hotel itself is a little old and run down, probably in need of a renovation. Our room was very basic, but roomy... more

The hotel was everything that you would expect for the price being paid. Rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and parking was easy in the streets around the hotel. When I go back to Tours I will stay here again! more

We had a relaxing and enjoyable time staying in Tours, and agree with what other reviewers have said about this hotel. It feels rather old and a little run down, but also quite charming. We had a room overlooking the courtyard, which we recommend. The manager was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, an easy walk from the train... more
