Superb location for touring the Loire Valley. The Chateau is a beautiful place to stay. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Dinning is an experience one would not want to miss and the rates are amazing for the resort. We recently stayed there for four days and wished we could have stayed longer. All staff speak English and always... More

Coming from Los Angeles, my wife and I planned to spend a total of 7 nights in Paris, and then a few nights in the Loire Valley to do some exploring. We found a great deal for Domaine de la Tortiniere on ---.com, and read the reviews here, so we decided to take chance. It proved to be a wonderful... More

We completely enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights at the end of November. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was lovely and comfortable. It was absolutely wonderful to wake up to gorgeous misty views of the river and we loved the option to have breakfast in bed! It was ideally located, we were able to see... More

My wife and I were at this chateau for 6 nights , starting on Nov. 13 , 2006 . Every aspect of this vacation was wonderful . Directions how to arrive to the chateau – the website and verbal instructions were very clear , and we reached the place very easily . We drove that day from Paris and we... More

My husband and I had been in France for 4 days before we arrived at the Domaine de la Tortiniere. Up until that point, we'd experienced some very poor food and some ordinary service, and were beginning to become disillusioned with our "French Experience" in general. However, this hotel proved to be just the tonic we needed. The hotel is... More

From the moment we entered the lobby of this charming hotel, we were treated like royalty. The service provided by the friendly, gracious staff is impeccable. The hotel is old, gorgeous, and comfortable. The staff exceeded our expectations beyond belief; from carrying our very oversized American luggage upstairs to our room, serving late afternoon snacks when the restaurant was closed,... More

I had the great pleasure of spending ten days (in October 2006) at Domaine de la Tortiniere just outside Montbazon and found a little bit of heaven on earth. Every comfort, every amenity was offered readily, cheerfully, effortlessly (often invisibly): room "turned down" nightly, with pillows fluffed, shutters closed, and one lamp left lit on a bedside table; excellent travel... Fellow Travelers, The Tortiniere is so beautiful, you will not regret the choice to stay there. It's worth every penny. Upon our late arrival to the Tortiniere, we were welcomed by the friendly staff. I was feeling VERY ill; fever with flu symptoms. My new husband and I were on our honeymoon, and had just driven from Paris. It took... More

I enjoyed my experience at the Domaine very much. I was able to find the hotel quite easily with the driving directions found on the website. I found ample parking spaces on the property. The receptionists made us feel welcome and assisted us when we needed anything. We had a very large room, well decorated, with a generous and very... More

This is a true gem!! Everything about the hotel was fantastic. The staff at the front desk were helpful and courteous. The room was great and spacious. The restaurant was wonderful. The staff in the restaurant was great too. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone; couples and families. It is perfectly situated for touring the Loire Valley.
