My wife and I were heading back to Paris after 3 weeks in France, Italy and Switzerland. We decided to make one more stop and what a stop it was. All the reviews on Tripadvisor pointed us in the direction of Domaine de la Tortiniere. The Chateau was wonderful in all respects. The staff were very friendly, the room in... More

We stayed in the hotel recently for two nights during the visit to Loire Valley as a family of four. We booked a turret suite room in the old chateau as we needed more space for two kids, and of course it would be a plus for us to experience the charm of sleeping in an authentic chateau. The hotel... More

What a charming hotel. Absolutely stunning grounds and location we stayed here on a drive from Portugal to the UK. The service was outstanding and everyone was incredibly helpful and nice. We would chat to them often curious about the history of such a grand place and they were extremely friendly and informative. When we hadn´t eaten and were hungry... More

We have been looking for a good hotel in the Tours region for some time & after a number of disasters & thanks to some good friends recommending the Domaine de la Tortiniere to us we have finally found a gem! It has a good position not too far from the A10 & is positively idyllic. The rooms are all... More

It is difficult to praise this hotel too highly. Excellent is not a strong enough word for it. It has comfort and wonderful service which is always friendly but never intrusive. The location is superb with a view over the breezy valley to the village beyond where the lights twinkle invitingly during the evening. The chateau has its own portion... More

Our travel agent said we had to experience staying in a chateau. Domaine de la Tortiniere was wonderful! We didn't stay in the main building but one just behind the actual chateau. It was very nice. Good size room for France, a huge bathroom and balcony. Every afternoon we went to the main chateau for a cocktail then dinner. Be... More

We stayed one night in this nice place in mid December 2013, our room being in the chateau itself. We had called from Paris the same morning for a reservation and they gave us a discount ( it was a Thursday ). The corner room was clean, comfortable and tastefully arranged, the bathroom well equipped, and the carafe of homemade... More

We stayed 5 nights here for our chateau visiting in Loire Valley. Our girls, 8 and 11, loved the room, in the main building, with the view. They also enjoyed the grounds around the hotel. they went 'hiking' around hotel every evening. For us the hotel location was great. Most of all the major chateaus were within less than 1... More
