We stayed w/ our 2 boys ages 9 & 12 and had a wonderful time. There are trails for walking on the property and plenty of green space to run about before cleaning up and having a amazing dinner at the restaurant. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is touring the Loire Valley chateaux by car. Domaine de la Tortiniere is a boutique chateau located on a large, wooded property. We stayed in one of the "charme" rooms in the Vieux Logis and were comfortable. Although they are a bit small, they were clean and very private. I enjoyed staying on the outskirts of Tours and coming home after a long day of touring to what felt like someone's private estate.The owners are delightful, fluent in English and very accommodating!... more

We visited the hotel at the end of August and thought we had stumbled into the Holiday Inn. There were 3 kids for every adult, each making more noise than the next.
