We stayed 2 nights and then opted for another in this charming 1920's hotel. Very good service, good elevator, good English at the desk and across the street from the Train station, but depot and tourist office where our Chateaux tour took off. Our only complaint was there were noisy little kids staying above us, but when the desk was... More

We have just returned from Europe where we spent 4 nights in Tours at Grand Hotel. This hotel had its pros and cons, but I liked it and would stay again. It is a giant old hotel. Seems like it has had a past glory. But that is rather intriguing as well. They are some old art deco rooms, with remnants in some rooms of some early last century cabinetry. Some of the rooms are up... More

Dear Sir, Thank you for writing to us this warm comment. Indeed, we are not a chain hotel and we claim our difference renovating our rooms while maintaining the spirit of the 30s (the Grand Hotel de Tours was built in 1927). As you may have noticed all the bathrooms are not renovated yet. Booking a Comfort room, a Superior... More

Situated just 100 metres from Gare du Tours, this hotel is terrific value in the Loire Valley area. Due to the fact that the Gare du Tours is a terminating station, there is no train noise.
