We spent a night here on our journey south and loved it. From Frederik's friendly welcome to the quirkiness of the rooms, it was a brilliant alternative to a budget chain hotel. It is a lovely old house in a quietish street - parking can be tricky so we paid extra for the secure parking and were grateful for it,... More

We stayed on our way further south, and the hotel is down a side street close to the centre. It was a rather eclectic hotel, the refurb was still going on but we stayed on the top floor in a room that had already been done. The stairs upto the top floor were very rickety so not recommended for anyone... More

A little outdated and with renovations going on but the room was pleasant and comfortable, the owners nice and the location convenient. A continental breakfast is 7 euros and is okay but you could take a short walk to a bakery. Close to the town centre and short walk to the tourism office. There are lots of restaurants and cafes... Kind attentive owners of a rather run down establishment undergoing massive refurbishment. I must admit we were glad of a sense of humour when seeing our bedroom, typical french countryside with lace drapes and fussy linen. The bathroom-a cupboard really, was difficult, one could only sit on the loo sideways! no evening meals so we ate out at a poor... More

The worst thing about this place is that it is impossible to sleep there... The building is old and the stairs are so, but so noisy, that it is impossible to sleep after 7 AM. The room we stayed is very different from those showed on Booking and was very small and with a little bathroom. The only good things... More

Firstly it must be said we did not realise reception closed at 10pm and we arrived too late - this is indeed our fault. That same night, since we could not get them on the phone, we emailed the hotel apologising and also asking to consider not charging us the night. The issue is not that they've said no, but... More

Forget fashion place where everything is perfect and jump into a 'real house' where the owner is receiving you, serving the breakfast (quite good), giving infos and making your staying warm. Our suite room at th elast florr was quite large and well equipped. To be improved only the bathroom (a little bit old) where the shower in not really... More

The location is nice but the rooms are very small, specially the bathroom. The worst thing is that the owner looks every bag you carry into the hotel and you can not eat in the rooms. The owner controls your movements and she is not very polite. The place is clean but there is no elevator.

This private-run hotel is perfectly situated in a fairly quiet side street in the very center: close to the train station and town hall, walking distance to the old city. The building seems to be a late XVIII century town house, and our room had a cozy old fashioned décor, furnished with stylish antiques. It was a street facing deluxe... More

As a mature couple we spend three nights in the hotel and really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, the very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast for 6 Euros, the good location and comfortable room. Although there is no lift, we found it to be no problem at all.
