Nice location opposite the Loire. You can stroll along the riverbank into the town centre where there is a really nice atmosphere and plenty of places to eat & drink. Nice friendly staff, always an English speaker on duty somewhere. Big car park at rear (you can watch your car if you like that sort of thing), rooms modern, not... More

I put motorists in the title for the sake of train travelers. We stayed here for only one night as a stopover from the south on the way to Caen. This was our first experience at driving in France, so finding a hotel with its own parking lot was important to us. We have no complaints about the hotel itself.... More

The hotel was fairly priced, fairly comfort, fairly breakfast and so on. An ordinary hotel in an ordinary city.. But the cathedral was lovely :-)

Sat by the bank of the river Loire, this is an adequate overnight stop. The rooms are a bit small, even by French standards, but clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful and there's adequate and secure parking. No restaurant and it is a good 20 minutes walk to the old part of Orleans where there are plenty... More

Nice building fronting river with nice free parking as advertised. Interior dated but clean. Comfy bed and good night sleep but toilet vent to bedroom?! 10mins stroll along river to centre. Friendly stuff at reception but horrible breakfast with no coffee and tea served upon requeste with old bread. Very disappointed French breakfast and didn't bother for the second morning.

A Hotel with a grand past, sadly now jaded. The approach to the Escala looks impressive, a white coloured building with it's large archway leading to the car park at the rear, and situated on the opposite side of the road to the Loire river The foyer is also quite imposing, plush carpet and tastful decor. The rooms are different... More

I chose to stay here to break up a road trip to the South of France. I primarily chose the hotel because of the free parking. It was plentiful and my room looked out on to the car park so I could keep an eye on it. The hotel was easily found from Sat Nav and is located about 15... More

Fortunately we were only here for one night. The room was small, dark and poorly equipped; there was no remote control for the TV and not enough towels for two. The decor was grubby woodchip wallpaper and cheap, nasty furniture which would have disgraced a jumble sale. Worst of all I had asked for a room which was suitable for... More

This location is very close to the highway to Paris and a 15 minute walk to the old town area which has many bars and restaurants. The room was modern and clean. Free parking on site. Good value for the price. Nice bathroom. Lots of hot water.

This was a basic hotel in a convenient location for a one night stop coming back from the south of France. The hotel was clean and comfortable with a secure , free car park. What makes this hotel is the staff, Coleen was the duty staff when we arrived and she went out of her way to be helpful, she... More
