A week in the gite at the Logis du Bief in July you would hope would consist of lazy meals and drinks on the lovely terrace overlooking the river to the quiet public park on the other side while feeding yesterday's baguette to the ducks. It was on occasion a bit like that but, unfortunately, we had the week with...

We stayed in the gite which is immediately next door to the chambre d'hote. The location is truly delightful with the living room opening straight on to a terrace outside overlooking the calm and peaceful river. We spent many a happy hour with glass in hand on the additional mini terrace, a foot or two above the river surface, feeding...

We just returned from a 5 night stay in the gite (rental apartment) at Le Logis du Bief. The three of us (me, my 13 year old daughter, and my 9 year old son) had a great time and the apartment suited us perfectly. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twins. The bath...

Le Logis du Bief was a 3-night stay that we wished we had booked for a week! The accommodations were spacious, graciously appointed and impeccably clean. Our hosts were helpful and delightful to visit with - referring us to excellent restaurants with some of the best food that we ate in France. The pear tart with gingerbread ice cream will...

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of June. Loches is an interesting place to visit plenty to do and see. The B&B was amazing, high quality antiques in our room ( the Agnes Sorrel), the balcony with seating was a bonus, although we weren't allowed to drink wine there, fully understandable with white furnishings ! The hosts...

Breakfasts were heavenily with Moha's wonderful homemade jams - served on the terrace overlooking the river each morning was a lovely way to start the day. Jean...

Well located, with charming male hosts. Large gorgeously decorated room with nice sized full bath, all in immaculate condition. Lovely common patio area on the canal. Cozy interior living areas. Homemade youghurt, great pastries, a fruit and excellent coffee for breakfast.. Owners had good restaurant and outing ideas.

Our hosts were outstanding! They made every effort to insure that we had a memorable four night stay at the lovely Le Logis du Bief. They made suggestions for delightful restaurants in the old village as well as maps and directions for visiting the various chateaux in the Loire valley.
The breakfasts were delicious with homemade yogurt and very fresh...

Although from the street it says nothing special, just a blue metal plaque with the number 21 on it, the interior is very welcoming. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, and have real showers. Ours (the Agnes Sorel) had a balcony overlooking the back terrace and the canal. Lovely view. Moha and Jean-Claude made helpful and enchanting hosts.
