This is a dual review, as the hotel was great , in a lovely location and a very nice pool. The restaurant was fabulous, with superb local produce, as well as the usual fare. Don't miss it if you are travelling South in France.

stayed here with 2 customers who were disappointed, ,rooms are old,and when it rains, very noisy, the staff are not really interested in satisfying your needs, bar closes at 10PM, not a minute later. to avoid in my humble opinion.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is good in terms of the view-from the Terrace outside the restaurant you can look across to the old town and Castle as well as see the open countryside. However, if you walk into town it is worth remembering the long climb back up again! The town of Loches is a delight, well... More

Those of a certain age will remember this long-running British soap with cardboard sets; but I do Luccotel an injustice. This certainly isn't the place for a romantic weekend, but as a base from which to tour, it more than fulfills the need. The motel rooms are very basic but clean with all the necessaries, and quiet too. The grounds... More

Based on a UK Primer Lodge type accommodation - standard rooms; hotel with it only bar and restaurant. This one also had an indoor swimming pool and large outdoor seating area and play area. Reception; Friendly welcome and key issue - pointed to room, down one level - no lift. Room; Medium size room - clean and well appointed -... More

This is a very pleasant hotel with a good restaurant and helpful staff. The main points have been covered by previous reviews. We left the hotel having had a very enjoyable stay and on arriving home found we had been charged for breakfast that we in fact never take. An email to the Luccotel resulted in an immediate refund which... More

This was a return visit after a 20 year gap, and we were not disappointed. The location on the edge of the town might be a problem for pedestrians but the views of Loches [chateau, etc] from the public rooms and many of the bedrooms are stunning. Large and convenient car park. Pleasant hillside 'lawn' , indoor pool. Friendly staff... More

This hotel is a magnificent find and by the sounds of the other reviews, a little underrated. It's very clean on the inside, has ample parking and has a load of stuff that isn't immediately apparent - such as an indoor pool. There is even a sauna, a games room (albeit lacking a little equipment) and a reception room. There... More

This was our second stay at the Luccotel, and once again we had a very enjoyable break, even though the weather was freezing! A room with a lovely view over charming Loches, very close to the heated indoor pool, which we seemed to have exclusive use of! As it was so cold we were disinclined to go out in the... More

We stayed here for two separate nights early September. The hotel has great facilities including a great indoor pool with doors out to a sunbathing area. Lovely terrace to take meals as well. The room we had was the cheapest but it came with everything you needed hair dryer, soap, towels etc and a big plus was the free air... More
