The Chateau de Rochecotte is a splendid Italianesque villa in the sleepy village of Saint Patrice. There are no services in the village other than a 'Bistro' and a post office with a sign alluding to the fact that it would be open at 10.00, but wasn't! Our two night stay in our 'Chambre Grand Comfort' was exactly that. As... More

We have only been here 2 nights and we are thrilled with its tranquility, attentive staff, quality of the food and the beautiful surroundings. The grounds are impeccably kept and the food both at breakfast and dinner has simply been exquisite. The staff are always willing to help, whatever the request! The public rooms are beautifully furnished with interesting furniture... More

I stayed here for two nights while on an organized bike tour through the Loire Valley. We stayed in three different chateaus and this was by far the nicest. The room was huge with big tall windows that opened, a seating area with a couch and two chairs, and a desk and chair. We also had a small foyer as... More

This 37 room chateau and excellent restaurant are gems tucked in the quiet countryside in the beautiful Loire Valley. After a busy week in Paris, and a sobering visit to Omaha Beach, we drove here and had our breath taken away as we drove up the winding drive. The rooms are exquisite, the staff highly professional but also friendly and... More

An oasis of calm, comfort and relaxation in the countryside, with the bonus of fine dining. We stayed here 2 nights during our car tour through the Loire Valley. It was between our stays in Tours and Saumur. The hotel chateau is easily found about a mile off the road along the north bank of the Loire and is set... More

We are driving through France and stayed here for 2 nights. The 2-bedroom apartment is great and we could not ask for a better room. The dinner is great and the ground is beautiful. We visited the nearby Loire Valley chateaus during the day and it is close to most, especially Chinon. The hotel is booked solid our first night... More

Great location to explore all the chateaus. Beautiful rooms. The grounds are stunning. Sitting room and dining room are filled with art and antiques. Great place for a family as they have suites. Not too far from the Loire River. It's a bit up on the hill so the views are fantastic. They have a beautiful patio for drinks in... More

This hotel is a chateau that has been made into a hotel. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with lovely fabrics all around. There are extensive grounds for walking and an outdoor pool. The food is good and the staff friendly and helpful.

This is truly a lovely chateau in a beautiful setting of lawns, parkland and magnificent trees, The main lobby, lounges and restaurants are excellent. The rooms however are distinctly tired and somewhat shabby. Perhaps 'shabby-chic' would best describe it. Notwithstanding this however I would certainly recommend this hotel for those looking for a restful and delightful place to stay when... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during a tour. The chateau is very attractive, and the grounds are beautiful to walk. The only meals we had here were breakfast so we can't rate that portion. The staff was very friendly. The elevator is small and slow so be patient.
