Clean rooms, updated baths, good breakfast, helpful staff. Great location in the town square, just below the chateau. Parking is behind hotel, free from 1900 until next morning. Rooms were modern and recently updated which was in contrast to the "classic" appearance of the hotel and lobby.

We spent four nights there last week. Very helpful, staff, nice room, and terrific location. I would have given it a 5th star except for a very annoying buzz in the air-conditioning system that went uncorrected. Parking is not included, but is available free - overnight anyway - right next door.

Well-placed in the centre of town, a few steps to shops and restaurants, a small hotel, rather sweet. We found it expensive considering it was January and the place was empty, but I expect it is well worth it in summer. Friendly and cheerful service.

This hotel was the closest to the historical sites and the castle of any place I have ever stayed. Staff was very pleasant and they even had sort of a terrace where I could sneak a smoke, glory be! Hotel is in very old, historical building and you will have to do the stairs, which are also very old and... More

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. We stayed two nights in a room overlooking a quaint and very popular old square. We used the garage parking behind the hotel. There is public parking behind the hotel, but you should check on the hours and days you have to feed the "meter." There are restaurants serving... More

A very well placed hotel, especially for eating out as it's extremely central. The hotel has its own parking (€10) and very welcoming staff. Rooms are airconditioned and very comfortable, and breakfast is included in the price.

Excellent location in heart of medieval Chinon. Outside square shared with 3 other establishments serving food & small eats. Booked family room which was modern, well equipped with fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave & electric rings. Situated only 50m from the elevator to the Castle. Breakfast excellent with large choice of cheeses, eggs, jams, hams, juices and Tarte Tatin. Evening meals... More

I was there on a biking trip through the Loire, getting into town (the way I was directed) took some doing to find this. Once there, its a great, centrally located spot. Staff was helpful and courteous. The rooms are dingy and small, but clean. For a one or two night stay in Chinon, not a bad choice

Located in a small square which has seating for a few restaurants. Parking is onsite and around the back and like most car parking in Europe space is tight. All staff at the hotel were friendly and provided excellent advice on surrounding sites and restaurants and helped with reserving restaurants for dinner. Our room was on the top floor and... More

Arriving by bike takes a bit of negotiation as the bike parking is via a garage at the back and the first stopping point is in an extremely busy square. However, once this is sorted out the rooms are clean and the receptionists were very helpful. The rooms can seem noisy due to the activity in the square.
