We stayed for one night in a family suite so that we could visit Chenonceau chateau. The location is great, the staff friendly and the price very reasonable. Our suite was quite spacious but the hotel was very outdated and shabby. With a decent refurbishment, new furniture and, most importantly, new bed linen, this could be a great hotel.

We stayed there for one night in order to enjoy the light games in the garden of the Chateau de Chanonceaux which are by the way wonderful. The Renaudiere was an interesting stay due to its closeness to the castle but the general impression is that the hotel is about to go bankrupt despite the efforts of the people there....

The rating for me is really 1.5 but i've rounded it up to 2 because the gardens would be great for exploring for kids....
