First discovered this place about 10 years ago whilst staying in a gite nearby-ate there on a couple of ocassions and were impressed and noticed how interesting the hotel looked. Decided to stay in the hotel for one night on our journey further south and were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome and our room albeit on the small size... More

Booked this back in December at a good D,B&B rate (122 Euros for 2). Easy to get to, easy to find. Very limited parking out front but it does have a secure parking area about 3 mins walk away. Staff very friendly, rooms clean, functionable and comfortable (albeit walls are thin-you have been warned!-and bathroom a touche small). Restaurant superb... More

We stayed there for 2 nights and the first room was really tiny. The shower was made for a child - a person with more the 1,60m cannot stand there (room 303). We had dinner at their restaurant - the food wasn't the special for the "menu gourmand" and the service was terrible. We had to beg for their attention... More

Better than a relais, a small hotel with a nice, no-nonsense restaurants and a reasonable walk from the fabulous Chateau (but parking free at both if you can find a space outside hotel). Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay there again. Friends have told me that La Rosarie across the road is an excellent restauranmt but it is closed on... More

We did not stay at this hotel but ate lunch at their outdoor restaurant. The staff were efficient and helpful from the beginning and when I asked if it would be possible to heat our baby's food, the waiter assured me that he was used to doing so and it was returned to me at the right temperature in a... Retaurant opened at 7pm. We turned up with our 18 month old son at 7pm on the dot - there was no one else in the restaurant at this point. We didn't get a very friendly welcome and this set the tone for the rest of our eveining meal. We are always VERY aware that not everyone enjoys the company... More

The double room was really cozy, a bit warm though. I understand some people may not like the old style of the place, but if you go there, that is what you are looking for: an old looking yet very cozy hotel. The restaurant is probably the best in town (next door La Roseraie was closed) and the staff really... More

Booked a double room for 3 nights. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the website. The room we were given was dark & gloomy with virtually no storage. The biggest problem was the bathroom which was more like a cupboard and had a connecting door from the next bedroom. We could hear all that was said nextdoor and they... More

We really enjoyed our stay of a few days at this lovely, family-run hotel. A great welcome from the owners and their staff who were all extremely helpful, especially regarding my daughter's need for a gluten free - yet tasty - diet. And the prices are very reasonable! We'll certainly viist again.

The hotel is great if you are driving around the Loire Valley. It has parking nearby and is nice and quiet if you have had a long day travelling from castle to castle. The attached restaurant is absoloutely fantastic. We went there two nights in a row. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable. We stayed in a double room... More
