Run don't walk in the opposite direction. Rarely have I had such a poor meal accompanied by such a poor service. Do NOT order the steak. Save yourselves hours of chewing. Other highlights? 45min wait for meal. Which to be clear was a steak hache, salad, steak and tuna steak - both on the plancha. No bread. Tuna cooked well... More

Much of this hotel is an older building that is full of character. Our room had a steeply sloping ceiling, which was not ideal, but not a problem for our one night stay. The room was clean and tidy with all the facilities you expect on a French Logis. A big plus was free fast WiFi internet access. The petit... More

We arrived late without reservations so were happy just to find a room. Unfortunately the only room for 4 (2 children included) was in the attic, which was a little warm until a thunderstorm broke the heat. The room was very small, ditto the bathroom.Lighting was bad. However, the food in the restaurant was very good altho the service was... More

This was part of a 7 day cycling package. Lovely comfortable room. Friendly staff & top class French food in the restaurant. Wi-Fi was a bit frustrating though. Breakfast was good. Great location & just a short walk to the Chateau

An overnight stay in this historic property was essentially disappointing. Our welcome was warm, with a choice of English or French conversation, and our double room was in an external stone building. Exposed beams and well chosen toile de jouy fabrics could not conceal that the room was very cramped with limited facilities. Heavy wood panelling made it seem all... More

We arrived to Chenonceaux on our 5 day cycle tour in the drizzle/rain, and Le Relais Chenonceaux was very welcoming. Luckily it's close the chateau. Ample parking for bikes under a small roofed area in the courtyard. We found the rooms were warm and had enough space, the bath room functioned well. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the... My husband and I visited this relais in 2000 and loved its' quaint room, iron key, etc. However, as I guess they must, they have "modernized" somewhat, installing a flat screen TV onto the centuries old wooden beams. The windows no longer open onto the courtyard/fresh air. The restaurant is no longer the wonderful, delicious creperie that we remember. So,... More

We had a one evening stay here with our young son in early October, eating in the restaurant and staying in a triple room. The reception greeting was warm from a lady who may have been the owner, however the good she established will was undone by the intolerant waitress who would not assist with English, was dismissive and often... This hotel is bike friendly and dinner was very lovely. It was a crowded night, because one of the other restaurants in town was closed. So we were happy to be able to get a table. There is elegant dining at the hotel around the corner, but we had biked all day and just wanted a shower and dinner. The... More

This hotel is reasonable and well priced. Yes the rooms are small but they are well presented anfd theres is nit much the hotel can do as its an historic building. It is the perfect place for exploring. The chateau is a 5 min walk away and close too cycle routes in the area. Also bike friendly. Free wifi at... More
