Like a dream of a French country manor, everything was beautiful The bathroom and shower were the best, and so quiet and comfortable. And the staff was amazing too. It was wonderful to walk to the Chateau. the pool was beautiful and dinner was one of the best I've ever had

Charming and friendly small hotel on the banks of the Loire in the beautiful historic village of Montsoreau. The owners husband drove me to Tours to collect my rental car after some airport problems the day before. Chic hotel with well chosen objects of interest. Friendly but not overbearing. My young daughter loved the small heated pool and the hotel... More

Bed was comfortable, shower was great. Room was quiet, even though it was on the street side (traffic died after 9 pm). This hotel had everything a 4 star should have. The patio is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon sun. They have a pool, but it was too early in the season for... More

We spent one night here and it really wasn't long enough. It is a most beautifully run hotel and we had one of the best meals we have ever eaten! We had a junior suite, as we travel with our Flatcoated Retriever, so more space is a requirement for us. It was delightfully appointed with a super, modern bathroom and... More

We had a very comfortable stay in a 17th century house. The rooms are all updated. The staff is ever-present, attentive and very helpful. Dinner at the restaurant was exceptional with excellent service. The only drawback was that it was pricey. And so was the breakfast. The hotel is a mere 5 min walk to the Chateau and so very... Auberge de Bon Laboureur is a beautiful and welcoming boutique hotel within walking distance of the Chateau Chenonceau. It captured our eyes as we drove by - the building itself which is charming and all the beautiful flowers - and we walked back to investigate. Fortunately for us, a room was available. The staff are all welcoming, the rooms are... More

Fourth time staying her and it just can't be beaten. The staff are professional, welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms and public spaces (the private pool is to die for) are pretty, well equipped and all you could possibly want. Don't miss dining if you possibly can - it may be a splurge but you won't forget it -... More

On a recent trip to Paris we decided to take a break and explore the Loire Valley. I investigated possibilities by using TripAdvisor and once again, was not disappointed. The auberge is one of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed in. We discovered a terrific package on their website that included an upgraded room, dinner in the restaurant and... More

This location is restful and charming and was perfect for celebrating our wedding anniversary. Our suite was spotless and spacious. The staff were so accommodating and caring and professional. The birds can be heard singing in the morning and there is a lovely courtyard as well. The soaking tub in the bath was fantastic! So convenient to train and chateau.... More
