We have been traveling to europe for close to fifty years. this was our second visit to the Loire. we were traveling with our adult daughter and teenage grand-daughter(their first trip). We required two rooms for four days. we day-tripped from the hotel. the location is perfect for day-tripping. we booked a bit late but Laurent assured me that he could... more

This is the most charming French country inn. The room we stayed in (Room 15) was clean, light and airy, with a tasteful decor. All the modern amenities to boot (satellite TV, AC, phone - although I did not really need any of these things). The room opened to a quiet garden. Sophie and Laurent, the owners, are absolutely lovely.... more

This hotel was one of the high points of our trip to France. The hotel is beautiful -- both rooms and gardens. Nice bathrooms. The food is spectacular, and dinner was served on the gorgeous patio. The price is very reasonable for what you get. Best of all were the hosts, who made us feel most welcome and comfortable. more

Rick Steves' description convinced us to call ahead and reserve one night thinking we would keep moving to see more of the Loire Valley. After 15 minutes on site, we requested 2 more nights. We left after the 3rd night only because we had to catch our plane back home. Sophie and Laurent are delightful hosts in the truest sense... more

When we were planning our Europe trip we found "La Roseraie" classified in Tripadvisor as a hotel. Now, back home, when we were going to give our review we were surprised to find it as a B&B, what is ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR! "La Roseraie" is a wonderful hotel-restaurant, very comfortable, cozy, and has a superb cuisine. We were a party of... more

When I saw this hotel described in Rick Steve's France as being "like walking into an impressionist painting," I knew this was the one for us. And it was! The first view of the gardens was a "wow this is really nice" moment. The parking requires some maneuvering (one way in/out) but is very secure and accessible to the rooms.... more

It all started with a very polite and charming response by Laurent to an e-mail requesting info for reservations followed by a very nice conversation with Sophie to make the reservations. This hotel is everything we could have imagined and more. The location is perfect; easy to find and a 4 minute walk to the Chateau; our room is very... more

Had the pleasure of staying at the Roseraie on a recent trip to the Loire Valley with my mother. We stayed in the largest room of the hotel, #28, which was absolutely beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. Our meal al fresco on the hotel patio was one of the best meals I've had during my 3 month visit to France, and... more
