I've chosen the hotel mainly for it's location close to the castle and it proved to be very convenient - 5 min on foot in the morning before the arrival of tourist crowds, and the car left safe in the hotel parking. As about the hotel itself, one really appreciates the hospitality of the owners and their efforts to transform... More

I stayed here three years ago and really enjoyed it, so I was a little concerned when I discovered it had changed ownership. Not to worry! The new owners are just as conscientious and just as friendly as the former. The rooms here are quite spacious by French standards, the location is great (5 minute walk from the chateau), the... We stayed here for one night and enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Our room was quite large although the furniture somewhat old. Our room was at the front of the hotel but it caused no noise problems for us. The bed was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was also clean. We did not have meals at the hotel... More

I very much enjoyed our stay here. We were in one of the newly renovated rooms with a wonderful shower, huge bed and small sitting room. Right outside our room was a small terrace area that we could sit at. It was easy walking to the Chateau. We did not have dinner here as the restaurant was closed the night... More

We visited Chenonceau during one of the hottest spells in recorded history, so we were delighted to have air conditioning in our room! The room itself was large and very comfortable. Initially I was worried about its location right on the street, but Sabine was correct when she assured me that things would be quiet by bedtime. The restaurant was... More

Hotel was in a good location, but I would not stay here again even if it was right next door to the Chateau. Why? Because I truly have NEVER been spoken to in such a rude and demeaning manner by a hotel proprietor. As background, my sister uses a wheelchair and complications at the train station in Paris caused us... More

Great location. Walk to chateau! Makes it easy to go early and go back late. Beware if you have Apple equipment - internet will not work! We spent hours with the manager trying. "A" for effort, but "F" for results. Windows owners seemed to be fine. This was the only place in France that our Macbook Air did not work.

We had booked into this hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor and looking at the photographs on booking.com. I had high expectations but came down to earth quickly. On arrival (after travelling for 7 hours from the south with two children) , we were told that our party had already checked into the two double rooms booked ?... More

The proprietors are justly proud of this hotel which is also their home. The room was large and beautifully decorated with a large en-suite bathroom. There was air-conditioning in the room - very welcome as it was well over 32c! There is a pool but, due to a delay with our luggage we were unable to try it out. There... More

We arrived mid afternoon on a Saturday and were greeted with smiles and helpful service. As we had come to see the chateau which is 500m away we opted out of dinner and strolled round the magnificent former home if Catherine de Medici both in the warm evening sunshine and the amazing nighttime illuminations. The hotel was clean and warm... More
