All of the reviews here are spot on ! This place was great. The free parking garage was a major plus. The room was large and spotless. Sylvie does a marvelous job !

I loved staying at this charming B&B, which is located in a quiet, historic part of Chartres. I enjoyed being less than 10 minutes to the Cathedral, which was just a short walk away. Sylvie was a terrific hostess, helping me out by allowing me to arrive a little early. A warm, charming and humorous person, she was also generous... More

This is one great place to stay in Chartres. A nice short walk from your "island" location to the cathedral with restaurants sprinkled along the way. The accommodation is so well designed I couldn't get over it. A funky space for the shower, and yet, when I turned and thought this is where my towel should hang, there was the... More

There is nothing not to like about this great little place. Surprisingly spacious room overlooking the rooftops of Chartres, charmingly decorated and with a very comfortable bed. Small but well equipped and efficient bathroom and the use of a kitchenette where you could make yourself a cuppa or eat a snack because it has cutlery and crockery available to the... More

Sylvie greeted us warmly, led us in to the secure parking, and showed us around. We followed her advice on where to walk & what to see - we were stopping just 1 night en-route to Provence - and we were really impressed with the light effects on the Cathedral, and many other old buildings. Breakfast was hearty, fresh, and... More

Chose based on TA reviews and not disappointed. Hope to return next year. This is a modest, homely and comfortable B&B. Our hosts were delightful and the whole atmosphere is one of relaxed home from home. The use of the kitchenette is a real bonus. Breakfast is continental is style with fresh croisants and home made preserves. Although maybe only... More

We stayed in the small self catering flat on the next street from the B&B (Rue du Puits d'Or). We were warmly welcomed by Sylvie Menard, who had provided homemade jam, milk and water in the fridge. She obviously cares for her flat, as can be seen in the very high level of cleanliness and decoration. The flat is above... More

You are staying in a room in Sylvie's house but you would think that you were in a self contained apartment. There are 2 guest rooms - Blue and Yellow - which have their own bathrooms and share a common kitchenette/dining area on a private and separate level. We stayed in the Yellow room which has views to the Eglise... More

We spent eight nights at this lovely B&B situated in the beautiful old part of Chartres close to the river and at a walking distance from the Cathedral. There are two rooms and both are beautifully decorated and totally charming. We stayed in the Blue room which is slightly bigger, with 2 single beds (that can be made into one... More
