We had a long drive to make up from the south of France and booked in to stay the night at the Kyriad in Chartres - booked online without really knowing much about the place, it didn't sound particularly inviting being on a Business Park outside the city but that didn't matter as all we wanted was a bed for... We were returning from Perpignan from a holiday and this looked like a good stop to break the journey. It was absolutely fine, clean and fit for purpose. Unfortunately it's a business hotel in a very modern industrial estate and as such their kitchen isn't open over the weekend. KFC didn't really do the job. Friendly staff though.

The hotel does have nice but small rooms without any view unless you like industrial areas, big screen quality TV(with good channel choice for movies and sports) if you would like to watch your own movie from your computer, very comfortable bed and pretty good bathroom. What lacked was the sense of details, take a look at the pictures, small... More

The Kyriad was okay, the rooms where basic but clean. Staff very helpful but it was based in the middle of a industrial area so I would not like to go back there. About 10 minutes from the Centre of Chartres. The hotel had its own car park and restaurant but we didnt find the food very appealing.

Always enjoyed staying here in the past but not good experience this year. There was Black mould in the shower & they had tried to cover it with clear sealant which only made it worse. We complained to the receptionist who told us that all the rooms were like this as the hotel was 8 years old. They were waiting... More

We have stayed at this hotel annually over the last seven years as it is the perfect location to break our journey south. Whilst we have always thought of this hotel as being spacious, comfortable and good value we have noticed that the little touches have begun to slip. Normally we do not hear much from other rooms but on... More

We booked this a while before our stay through Expedia. It was an overnight stay to break up the drive from Calais to the Lot. We were a group of 3 adults and 2 dogs so we had 1 double room and 1 twin room. On arrival the receptionist (Fanny) was very welcoming and spoke good English. She clearly explained... More

Newish hotel on the outskirts of Chartres, ideally placed to break a journey through France. Room was spacious, bed very comfy, excellent bathroom, and secure parking. For sightseeing you would need to drive further into the town as it would be too far to walk in.The restaurant was shut for dinner while we were there and we did not have... More

We are a family of 6 and had 2 rooms with 3 beds. Lots of room, quiet and easy to find. Breakfast was continental. Price was 73 euros per room. Good value. Visit cathedral if you have time. Nice restaurant opposite cathedral. But difficult to know when open in the French holiday period.

A night stopover to catch the mid-day Shuttle made this 8 yr old Kyriad - part of the Louvre Hotel Group that also run Campanile - a convenient place. Competitive prices, a decent evening meal and a more than adequate breakfast confirmed it was a good decision. Only the helpful receptionist spoke good English but we muddled through with the...
