Great hotel opposite railway station. Parking available at reasonable charge in secure garage around the corner. Our room was great, very art nouveau decor and quite big , two windows. Big walk in shower, separate loo. No long mirror though. Bar area downstairs looked good, but we went out to eat and didn't take breakfast . Staff at reception were... More

Stayed for one night, I am delighted by this 2 star hotel, much better than I expected. the hotel is completely redone, and opened in last September. The location is good, just opposite the train station. Chartres is not a big town, so everywhere is within walking distance. The décor is art nouveau, tastefully done. The room is on small... More

Other reviews helped my decision to stay here and I was not disappointed. It's so handy - right across from the train station. Our room looked out the main street but even with the window cracked, it wasn't noisy. The beds were very comfortable. Clean, space. Breakfast offered several choices and was worth the 9 euros instead of trying to... More

We had a very good stay in this hotel.Upon arrival we were upgraded from a standard double room to a suite without any extra costs and we didn't even had to ask for it.The friendly staff Just arranged it for us.The room was very nicely furnished in art-nouveau style and it was perfectly clean. The hotel is located next to the... I was on a day trip to Chartres from Paris and waiting for my train back to the capital, my sister from South Africa and I walked into the Jehan de Beauce's lounge and asked whether we might have a coffee. The coffee was really great and my sister and I then decided to have a cocktail. We ordered Kir... More

Being shown to the room was a nice touch and reception returned to the room within a couple of minutes when we rang down for assistance with the heating. The recent renovations now provide most attractive rooms, lovely shower room and comfortable bed with nice linen.Although opposite the station, the double glazing was so efficient that there was virtually no... We saw Hotel Jehan de Beauce near the Chartres train station. Its charming, newly restored exterior made it look like a port in a storm after our negative B&B experience nearby. The small (35 rooms) boutique hotel is completely refurbished inside and out--every detail well thought out. We spent our last night of a 21/2 week trip in France there... More

We were delightfully surprised to find on arrival that our reservation at the Hotel des Poemes de Chartres would be fulfilled at the newly opened 4 star Hotel Jehan de Beauce next door. The room was very comfortable and very quiet -- no sounds from the street, the train station across the street, or other guests. For dinner we chose... More

We arrived to check in at Hotel des Poemes and were gently led next door to Hotel Johan de Beauce which had re-opened a month ago. Upgrade! It was a great hotel. Of course, very new (it had a "new" smell) and charming staff. Breakfast was super: fresh bread, croissants etc. and fig jam, so good! Would recommend this hotel.... More

I booked this hotel online while travelling by train to Chartres. Was happy I had reserved, as town was just about full because of conferences going on. The hotel is directly across from the station, and on the main access road into town, so it was easy to wheel my suitcase here. I was worried about noise but this was... More
