from the moment we went in the front door and were greeted by the smell of stale smoke we realised booking this was a mistake. The rooms are shabby but the hotel does provide great wi fi access and is in a great position. We did not eat at the hotel as we were put off by the overall cleanliness... More

Booked this hotel through booking.com as we were looking for some place not too expensive in Chartre. The situation is good, its just a walk away from the beautiful cathedral. The room we had was very small and the bathroom so small that you could hardly turn around in it. It is right opposite the railway station. They don't have... More

The hotel is cheap and cheerful and very well positioned. It is opposite the railway station but nevertheless quiet and is only a few minutes walk from the Cathedral and the centre of the city, so for us this was a real bonus. The lady on reception was very welcoming and told us about the son et lumiere that evening,... More

We stayed here as a stop off on our journey down to the in-laws for new year. Chartres was dead in the evening which was disappointing but the Cathedral is breathtaking and absolutley worth a good wander around. With regards this hotel - it was very very basic and very very tired. Luckily we got there quite late on in... More

...it's funny how it goes..isn't it, what is an absolute shocker to some , can be just the relaxed place you are looking for for another ! This was the case for us.We came up from a week in Paris ,on recommendation from friends to not miss Chartres, and we were not disappointed at all I love to arrive on... More

This is a shabby hotel with an unwelcoming entrance and a long staircase up to the Reception area which doubles as the breakfast area. The bedroom corridors are narrow and depressing and in need of serious refurbishment. The floor of the corridor dips dangerously outside the lift and a friend nearly toppled over. Our room was very small with threadbare... More

We booked a family room at this hotel over the net for which we paid 110 euros. It was a bit shabby and the location a bit dodgy (although very convenient for the station and the cathedral) but we were happy with the helpful and pleasant receptionist. But it all went downhill as soon as we entered our room. The... More

Great location across from the station and despite some comments re noise I never had a problem and as to dodgy characters not something I experienced - just local lads visiting the nearby bars!! Comfortable and compact rooms but all services provided. Very helpful staff who speak many languages. Elevators to all floors with rooms - a flight of steps... More

The lead photograph of the hotel uses excessive amounts of 'artistic licence'. The hotel is not what it seems. It lies very close to the railway station and all that entails. Quite a few dodgy characters hanging around shop doorways and in the station car park. We were very uneasy leaving our car there whilst we carried our baggage across... More

The location is the best part of this hotel. Right across the street from the train station. It is within walking distance of the cathedral. We were here for the Fête de la Lumière, Festival of Light. It was great to be able to get off the train, unload the luggage and then enjoy the Festival in one smooth motion... More
