Excellent hideaway just a few minutes walk from the centre of Chartres. A large tree fringed oasis of calm and tranquility with beautiful gardens, lily pool, duck pond, aiviary, free range family of chickens - a veritable nature reserve! Beautifully appointed self contained rooms and a breakfast /dining room cum lounge to die for! This very large room with a... More

We stayed overnight with Francoise on our way down to the Dordogne. Our room was just lovely and the house set in a real oasis of calm. Francoise was so welcoming and very patient with our attempts to speak French Breakfast was amazing with home made preserves. Chartres itself is well worth a vist. We were fortunate to be there... We had a car to return before 11.30 am. The owners kindly allowed us to leave our bags beforehand. Then they made the room ready early. It was an absolutely charming place to stay. A water lily pond, an aviary, chickens, quiet surroundings. It was perfectly located just outside the old town but only a 10 min walk to the... More

Our hostess was very welcoming and charming. The property is situated in a quiet residential area. The parking was great. We parked right outside of our downstairs room, which included a lovely bathroom with plenty of good towels. The separate toilet area was particularly cute with its decorations of horseshow ribbons and tennis trophies The walk into the center of... More

Our room was lovely & our hosts were most welcoming and informative. We walked into the town in the evening to eat and there was plenty of choice from typical French to Italian, Spanish and Indian, a great place to stop on route. this is a gem of a place in the centre of Chartres yet so quiet and secluded.

Perfectly located about ten minutes' walk from the centre of Chartres although you could be forgiven for thinking you were in the middle of the countryside. Warm hospitality, very comfortable room with a view of the delightful garden. We even saw a woodpecker in the trees - not an everyday sight in the middle of a bustling city! Run by... More

We spent one night in the downstairs room and found it very comfortable and well equipped, with a lovely outlook onto the garden. The property is an easy walk from the main sights of Chartres but, with its private compound and charming garden, it has almost a rural feel. The breakfast was good and the hostess is very helpful. The... More

My wife and I stayed here on different occasions on our way from and to Charles de Gaulle. Our room was spartan but perfect.. It was spotless, had a great bed and wonderful shower. The compound offered a peaceful retreat from the bustle of Chartres. The hosts were wonderful. It is also a very good value We hope to return... More

10 minutes walk from the centre of the town off street secure parking a beautiful old house but immaculately presented and scrupulously clean and the largest softest towels you will ever find You are made to feel that you are a house guest not a customer I cannot recommend this highly enough I will try and book this again as... We really enjoyed our stay at this B&B. Everything about it is fantastic!! The room with en suite bath is very private. It has a private entrance, making it very easy to come and go. The room was very clean and very tastefully decorated. The B&B is located very close to town, but when walking around the grounds you may... More
