We asked for a room with a view and were thrilled to be able to see the cathedral, the library, and another church that were all part of the night light show. The room was modern and clean, and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed walking around the upper town and visiting the Saturday market. While parking was not...

If you have the chance to visit Chartres, this is a great hotel with an excellent price/value ratio. While there is not a full restaurant in the evening, light meals are available. The hotel is located a short walk from the train station and a very reasonable walking distance from the cathedrale. Several very good restaurants are nearby. The hotel...

Mercure here has no parking – you have to use the underground city parking opposite. You cannot reserve a space but it has 1,000 cars capacity. It costs 18 Euro per day. It is narrow – so be careful driving. It is big – so try to park at the hotel end as it’s a long way to haul your...

This was our first experience of a Mercure hotel and we were very impressed. Friendly welcome, standard room which turned out to be surprisingly large and very modern and well-appointed. The staff were very helpful, excellent buffet breakfast and all in all a lovely stay. The hotel is situated very conveniently for the city centre and all amenities and although...

Spent one night here while travelling. Hotel is modern and bright with good sized, comfortable rooms. It is located in the centre of the city but downside is that parking is in the public car park under the square, a short walk away. Unloading bags in front f the hotel is difficult because of the busy road so best to...

This a modern hotel that is excellently located. It is a short walk to the Cathedral and old central town square. It's also within walking distance of the train station. The rooms appear to be new or recently remodeled with all the modern comforts. If you don't need old world atmosphere, this is an excellent choice when visiting Chartres.
The hotel is just perfect: very new, clean and nicely decorated, with all the amenities (including a tea/coffee machine with a set of delicious tea/coffees and free wifi), just 3 minutes by walk both to the Cathedral, a train station as well as cafes, shops and a supermarket. My advice is to book a privilege room with a direct view...
