Obviously the hotel rooms need refurbishment and are a bit spartan (but they are quite acceptable as it is), and it would be good if hotel management could get rid of this ridiculous French habit of referring to clients by their surname BEFORE the first name. Apart from that, this is a very nice hotel, with a spectacular view over... More

Hotel is situated just next to the castle, which is absolutely amazing and you don't have to pay for the car park. We arrived quite late in the evening so, for us it was really a place to sleep. The room was spacious and bathroom was clean. Room needs a modern carpet and new wallpaper or just pait, to bring... More

The restaurant is quite OK and it is so close to Chambord. But please avoid room on 2nd floor as the bed sheet is not clean. We sent a e-mail to inform the hotel but no reply so far. Very disappointed. Will never come back

This hotel is right next to Chateau de chambered; some rooms overlook it. It is pleasant to be able to walk around the chateau after dinner (the grounds are freely accessible at all times). 3 blobs seems a bit mean, there's nothing wrong with the place, but I think that the need for renovation makes that the right rating. The... More

We stayed in this hotel so that we can 'beat the crowds' while visiting Chambord. To that end, the location of the hotel was excellent! We were able to wander around the grounds outside the chateau at night and was there at a crack of dawn to get wonderful pictures without the crowds. However, the hotel was very tired. The... More

You can't beat the location, right opposite the Chateau at Chambord. The room was very tired and really needed new carpet which was quite dirty. The paint work and wallpaper needed to be replaced. Even though the room appeared clean enough the carpet really detracted from the appeal. Not being in a town made the night really quiet and we... More

We chose this hotel because it was right next to the castle and it sounded quirky and interesting. We had read a lot of average reviews so our expectations weren't high, but it really was awful! Downstairs is deceptively ok - the bar & terrace area is nice (although service pretty slow), and the welcome from reception wasn't too bad.... More

We arrived at this spectacular location full of expectation. The rooms are very tired but nice and clean. The chef was good but prices extortionate . The steak tartare was fantastic. Bit the crab was unbelievable the size did not reflect the price! The Chambord cocktail was a rip off and this hotel clearly profits from a captive audience. I... More

My family and I have decided to go here to visit the near castle, at the reception an indian speaks very bad english and he gave us the room number 40, it was orrible with very bad smell. The restaurant was expensive and poor. Bad service. The only good thing is that it is the nearest hotel to the castle... More

No arguing that this hotel has the most spectacular setting right next to the Chateaux , service was helpful and friendly and sitting on the terrace with an aperitif was lovely. We asked to change the first room we were shown as it was small, dark and rather depressing the second was better although it was all rather tired and... More
