What an excellent find. Right in the heart of historic Bourges, this delightful chambre d'hôte is a real treasure. Our room was the converted stables, just perfect for us since we had the dog with us and she could potter in and out of the delightful little courtyard. The bed was large and very comfortable, the room light and airy... More

If you look for a great place to stay in Bourges, Les Bonnets Rouges are just what you want. Wonderful accommodation in the old town centre of Bourges, furnished with style and very cosy and quiet. The guest will welcome you with some drinks upon your arrival and give information on the town and surrounding.

I stayed in the loft (grenier) which had a view to the cathedral for two nights and wished I was staying longer. Bourges is a lively town with a fascinating and well-preserved old quarter; the cathedral will impress even those with Cathedral Fatigue, all a short walk from Rue Thaumassiere. Les Bonnets Rouges is an eccentric old house that has... More

Les Bonnets Rouges is a good place to stay in the old town. It is very close to the tourism information center, cathedral St. Etienne, and shopping center. The street market which will open on Sundays is also close to the house. I arrived Bourges on Sunday, no shops was opened at that day. If you are interested in shopping,... More

We booked this lovely place months ago from Perth because it looked like it would be really quaint and it did not disappoint. Oliver had left the key for us as he could not be there when we arrived, a quick phone call and we had all the instructions we needed. We chose the ground floor "Romance Suite" and it... More

We love this place and stayed for a night the third time this year. Olivier, the owner, was very helpful - even though we regularly arrive later than anticipated.. Our room overlooked the fabulous cathedral - magical!

Very quiet Location. My car was parked for me in a garage next door - which was great. A very old Medieval Coach Inn- the bedrooms are very spacious the bed perhaps a little too firm for me. Well placed in the oldest part of Bourges - easy walking to all the major sites. Perhaps getting a little tired in... More

We chose Les Bonnets Rouges, Bourges as it was a convenient half-way point on our journey and had booked the Romance suite before travel. We were driving and there was room for us to park in the entrance to the courtyard. As a family of five we were catered for extremely well. Yes we booked the Romance suite, but here's... More

We stayed at Les bonnets Rouges in Bourges on our Sawday guide inspired holiday en route to the canal du midi. This is a real historic house full of antiques and seemingly fully original . The rooms are large ( we had the 2 suites ) with proper baths and a 4 poster bed in the one on the ground... More

Les Bonnets Rouges is an old townhouse in the centre of Bourges just round the corner from the Cathedral and accessed by very narrow streets. Each room or suite certainly has its own eccentric character - ours was in [many] different shades of red, pink and parchment brown, all the colours of a rose indeed. We were on the first... More
