Lovely charming hotel in an old traditional French building. The hotel is packed with little charming details. It is ideally located within walking distance of everything in the heart of the historical pebbled streets. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. They hand you over a little map of Blois and are always happy to recommend visits and activities around.... More

We spent one night here in May 2013 in room 7, Mme de Sevigne. The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, with a nice view toward the Seine. The bath was modern and everything was very clean. L'auberge is walking distance to everything you'd want to see in Blois and there is parking available on the street or in a... More

We stayed one night in december 2013 and enjoyed our big room on the second floor, with distant view of the river front. Comfortable bed, modern bathroom, nicely furnished, quiet ( at least on a mid December night ), we were able to park just outside. We chose to eat dinner at the restaurant and did not regret it. It... More

Being a cold blustery evening, we were greeted with a warm fire upon our arrival. After a wonderful bubbly house champagne drink, we chose a superb wild mushroom soup, which was followed by a delicious venison stew with mashed potatoes laced with cumin and a small portion of mixed veggies. The desserts were all so tempting and clearly house created,... More

Every year we stay at the wonderful and cozy hotel "Cote Loire" in Blois. Walking distance to explore the historic center of Blois… Also one of the best restaurants in all of France. The owners are very kind and helpful..We have come back to this hotel every year for 6 years.

Small 7 room hotel, centrally placed, easy walking to shops, restaurants and chateau. Some rooms have a great view of the river. Limited free parking on the street outside the hotel, but there is a good free lot down the street. Free WiFi, computer for guests to use and some travel books available for reference. Clean comfortable rooms. No elevator,... More

Staying in an intimate, interesting little place like the Cote Loire is one of the big payoffs of independent travel. First of all, it occupies an unbeatable location overlooking the Loire River and is literally right around the corner from one of the best little cityscapes in all of France. Dating from the 16th century(I believe)-the room we stayed in... More

We cannot speak highly enough about this wonderful establishment. The owners and their staff are excellent hosts and run a very professional and personal small hotel, with an intimate dining room. We used the Hotel as a base for exploring the Le Loir (a tributary of La Loire and much less commercialized) and the Chateaux in the area. The food... More

We stayed here in September for 4 nights and really enjoyed the ambience of this authentic hotel. It is decorated throughout with period pieces and is very efficiently run with friendly staff! We ate in on 3 nights and the menu varied and we enjoyed trying several dishes! Would definately return if we were in the Loire again!

Small charming hotel. Excellent location - very close to river and to the town center. Very clean, spotless and comfortable room (however a bit small, but that's an average size of rooms). Very friendly and helpfull host. The bottom line - excellent stay.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Nestled back from the road that follows the bank of the Loire—a five minute walk to the Blois châteaux—the Côté Loire is hidden behind foliage of the tree that shades the square. Do not judge this hotel by its two star rating. It is an intimate, 7-room hotel that was just purchased by Thierry and Laurent. With their care and attention to detail, it will soon become one of Blois’ most charming small hotels. ... more   less
