We booked this at the last minute based on other reviews and availability. The place lived up to the reviews. The best part of the experience was the gracious hosts: Claire and Laurent. It is very apparent they love what they do and love to meet and interacted with their guests. It felt like we were visiting family.

Booked the suite Four au Pain at Les Clos Pasquier after days of searching for our 25th anniversary accommodation. We've been to Blois a couple of times in the last few years but had never stayed until this year. Arrival time is 5-8pm and that's a pretty good time slot to aim for, and we had something like a 7... We booked here because of great reviews, but also because the picture of the main "common room" looked lovely...which it was. Check in time is at 5 PM. We arrived at 4:145 to find the doors to the courtyard closed and the intercom not answered...so we drove around for another 45 minutes. Upon returning we were greeted by Laurent...the husband...who... More

We were very warmly welcomed to this lovely BnB. We elected for one of the suites as a treat which was large and comfortable. The house is very tastefully decorated, fairly "shabby-chic", and many of the furniture items are for sale. The rooms were beautifully dark and quiet. The hosts speak very good English, which was a pleasant break from... More

Le Clos Pasquier is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. The place itself is charming and has a special energy. The guests Claire and Laurent (+ Josephine - the very cute dog :)) ) were very friendly, helpful with everything we desired (from restaurant bookings to recommendations on what is to be seen around the area).... This is a delightful place to stay. Laurent and Clare speak good English for those of us who need it! The rooms are very comfortable and the water hot! The breakfasts are satisfying, beautifully presented and quite different with local specialities to tempt you, like cold rice pudding - nicer than it sounds. I thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Le Clos Pasquier is a bit out of town but it is definitely worth the effort to get there. Laurent and Clair are the perfect hosts and the fresh homemade breakfast was the best we had on our 4 week cycle trip across France. The care they have taken in designing and furnishing is excellent.

My only regret -- we couldn't stay longer! The home is a stone farmhouse build in 1500 with original wood beams, knotty doorways, and charming touches throughout. We could not believe our eyes. Claire and Laurent are wonderful hosts who took such good care of us. Claire's breakfast was unforgettable: homemade bread, fresh eggs, baked apples, yogurt, goat cheese, homemade... More

We spent 4 nights here and have rarely had such a lovely time and been so well looked after. We had the "Suite du Four à Pain" which is almost a small flat with private lounge. The attention to detail from your hosts, Claire and Laurent, was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. From the cleanliness of the room, to... More

Le Clos Pasquier has the most comfortable beds and best breakfasts you will find. Claire and Laurent are superb hosts who attend to every detail. Laurent was very patient listening to my basic French but explained everything to me in English to make sure that I understood. The bathroom was modern with a wonderful shower. His recommendations were spot on... More
