Pitoresk hotel on excellent location, with very comfortable modern rooms. The owners are very friendly:'old school' hospitality. The extra is the nice garden to sit and the little display of the school the building it once housed.

We checked in after purchasing picnic supplies and we immediately offered their garden for our picnic. We enjoyed our bread, cheese and wine while listening the a mocking bird in their private garden.

We stayed here as part of an inntravel cycling break. We were welcomed and shown to our rooms with no waiting or fuss. The reception staff were very friendly and the whole place had an air of calm and restfulness. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated. The showers were clean and very good. The location next to the chateau... More

This hotel was chosen for us by a cycling tour operator, and we were delighted with the choice. The building has a lot of history, and is right next to the Chateau. Service is quite competent. We slept very well and had a great time. The proprietors seemed to ooze niceness in the brief time that we met them.

We stayed here for one night during a June-July 2011 trip to France. We arrived late in the afternoon without a reservation, but were able to get a room in the rear part of the hotel, which is an old Napoleonic-era school. The building and the room had recently been updated and renovated. The bed was comfortable and the washroom... More

While the hotel was rather modest (appropriate for the old primary school from Napoleonic era), what it lacked in extravagance, it made up with the kindest, warmest proprietor. Not only did he welcomed us and tolerated our lack of French, provided assistance in repairing the bike, he also drove us to dinner outside of town. We felt so welcome, we... More

Perfect location, quiet & central. Lovely, airy, light, modern, spacious rooms with great bathrooms & excellent wifi access. If you can get a room here, just book it. It's a lovely hotel in a perfect position for a great price.

We prebooked an overnight stay here enroute to Charente. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the room was first class with good (free) wifi access. Only possible downside for some would be no private parking. Would recommend this hotel without fear.

We arrived on bikes and were made very welcome. Our bikes went into a secure garage off the street but we saw no facilities for cars other than the nearby square. As we booked late our room was in the attic of the part of the hotel that is a newly converted school house. We probably had the worst room... More

Loved this beautiful boutique hotel, were there with kids but it still proved to be a charming and romantic place to stay. The hotel is a few meters down the street from the entrance to the town's own Azay-le-Rideau castle, which is well worth a visit. Especially loved the very sunny, cute and pretty courtyard with breakfast terrace and flowering... More
