On arrival we were greeted by the likeable owner who took great care to explain everything and show us around. The hotel is in an old stagecoach building and we had a very spacious room on the second floor with a view to the courtyard. The room was delightfully furnished and the bath room was also wide with modern equipment.... More

Booked following a review on the web by The Guardian. Hotel ideally situated to see this pretty village and the chateaux. Hotel has character, simple but clean rooms, free wifi, and a courtyard to relax in. A quiet spoken man checked us in and even took us to the actual door of the room. Noone has ever done that to... The hotel is extremely clean, and has a super charming style. It almost felt like being in a chateau. My parents got a room in the ground floor with very high ceilings. I got a smaller room on the 2nd floor. We enjoyed our stay there, though unfortunately the Azay-le-Rideau castle is being restored from outside. Wi-fi and breakfast were... More

Stayed here for the second year running, stayed 5 nights last year & sadly just a one night stop over this time around. Staff very thoughtfully put us in the same room as last year (our room now!)....we love this place, the history, the decor, the quiet...breakfast was great, staff so friendly. Will we stay here again? A massive YES!... More

Well worth a stay. Really welcoming staff and comfortable hotel. Would recommend it to people visiting the Loire region. Well positioned for the chateaux especially Villandry and Chinon as well as Azzay

We enjoyed the welcome, the beautiful setting and interesting decor of this hotel. Our group stayed in three rooms named after castles in the area and it is difficult to choose a favourite as they are all special. The breakfast was fairly standard and I would have liked coffee and tea making facilities in the bedrooms. There is a lovely... More

Charming hotel right in the center of Azay. Private parking area available, so don't worry about the town's limited parking. We had room Usse in the building across the courtyard. It was spacious and nicely decorated. Good bathroom with big shower and plenty of counter space. Excellent staff. Dinner outside in the courtyard on a summer night was peaceful and... More

After a long drive up from Provence we were thrilled to arrive in good time to enjoy a shower in our lovely room before a Kir in the courtyard. A different room from our previous visit but the usual high standard of furnishing, bedding etc. Easy access Wifi. The staff are all delightful, efficient and friendly. The menu is not... More

The hotel is right in the center of Azay-le-Rideau and there is good parking all around. We stayed two nights in a double room - Usse - which was very clean, spacious and with a nice atmosphere of old manor house meets modern boutique hotel. The bed was excellent and the bath had a good shower with high water pressure.... More

Loved this hotel, right on the market square, 200m from the chateau and an easy stroll from the riverside beach with a cafe bar and kayaking. I too love these unique and characterful hotels, we had two rooms, both were traditionally decorated with air conditioning, clean and well equipped. Owners and staff were charming and helpful. Parking at 4euro was... More
