One night stop-over here at a friend's recommendation. Free, secure parking on-site and quite easy to find. Friendly welcome from reception - indeed the chap on reception appeared to be the only member of staff on-site! He did everything from making up the sofa bed, to laying out breakfast and bringing in luggage. He was very cheerful and helpful. We... More

We stayed for five nights as a base for biking. We would definitely return here if staying in Amboise. Romantic decor full of charm, super comfortable beds and helpful hosts. They helped with a taxi, train schedules, and a rain cover for our bikes, which we were able to store outside. They were also patient with our attempts at French... More

Amboise was our base for the entire Loire Valley. We spent three nights here and very much enjoyed the hotel, city and entire region. Our room (Chambre 1) was comfortable but opened onto the street. In retrospect, we would have selected a little smaller (and less pricey) room facing the garden area. The staff were tremendous

Le Manoir Saint Thomas is centrally located in Amboise, so it's a great base both for visiting Amboise town and the Loire Valley in general. Our room was spacious and very nice. The hotel has its own parking lot, a nice little garden and a smallish swimming pool with deck chairs. The service at the hotel was very friendly and... More

We spent five nights here, as a base for exploring the eastern end of the Loire valley, and were very glad we did. We stayed in the "Diane de Poitiers" room, enjoying its painted roof beams, and appreciating its air conditioning. The building has been nicely converted, and there is a pleasant lounge. We also enjoyed the hotel's swimming pool,... More

This first stop, on our trip to the Loire Valley, set the bar very high. Lovely hotel in the pretty village of Amboise. We were greeted warmly and made to feel quite at home upon our arrival. Four of us stayed in the Duplex Suite, connected by a turret which added to the charm and old world feel. The bathrooms... More

Beautifull setting close to Amboise centre and the river.Only problem was no hot water for the shower however we were offered free breakfast as an apology, be carefully as the breakfast is very expensive, walk into town and there is plenty of choice. Would stay again.

We love this hotel, great atmosphere, friendly staff, good central location, both in France and in the village Amboise. We have stayed here years ago for our holidays in the Loire area for 2 weeks and now stay here for an overnight when we travel to the south of France or further. By now we had almost have of the... This is the kind of hotel you should not miss when visiting the castle of the Loire river. The service is great, the place gives you the impression of being back in the renaissance. The bedrooms are comfortable and decorated with charm and the whole passion of the owner. The small garden is nice and the private parking big enough... More

This is a lovely hotel in the heart of amboise. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also large and comfortable. Unlike other hotels on our trip, the air conditioning worked very well and we were cool and comfortable during the summer heat. The staff is outstanding. The breakfast has a great selection. The gardens are pleasant. Overall... More
