All the reviews of Rosie's place are true. The Escapade Amboisienne is a true gem amongst Chambres d'Hôtes. Breakfast choices include fresh fruit salad with yoghurt, 9 home made preserves with a superb selection of breads, wonderful omlettes, exceptional charcuterie and an incredible variety of cheeses. Anything left you take for lunch, we stayed for a week in her garden... More

This is a lovely B&B run by Rosie & her friendly dog. I didn't know what to expect, but it was fabulous and authentic. We were going to go out for dinner but it was lovely sitting in the garden with Rosie & her dog, sipping wine & watching the blackbirds feed their young in the tree closeby. There is... More

A fantastic B&B. Rosy, the proprietor, was very friendly. She has a dog who is no problem, well behaved. After putting our bags in our room we went out in to the garden area, and had a lovely chat with Rosy. She brought some nibbles out, and offered us a glass of wine. Our room had a toilet, and bathroom,... More

We stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon in Europe and absolutely loved it! We were greeted with a box of chocolates and cute stuffed animals. Both mornings we had gourmet breakfasts that were out of this world. The owner is so incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and luxurious. My only recommendation is to have... This review comes a little late, as we visited this lovely guest house almost a year ago, while on a bike trip along the Loire. Rosie is a wonderful hostess, and it is the little details -- a thermos of fresh coffee delivered to our room upon our arrival, wine glasses and a bowl of fruit left for us on... More

It will be hard to top the experience of our four nights here. Rosy went out of her way to make us feel totally at home and relaxed. She is incredibly generous with the food and facilities she provides, and is constantly working to provide for her guests' comfort and also enjoyment of the district. We stayed in her first... More

What a lovely place! Owner of the house was hospitable and nice, she really made our stay enjoyable. Room was neat and a bathroom great with a spa. We stayed two nights in April and had breakfast in both mornings. The beautiful table setting, home-made jams, fresh bread, local cheese. Location brilliant. And a cute dog!

Gorgeous dog friendly chambre d'hôte in a great location in Amboise. We had the ground floor room with access straight into the very pretty secure garden for our dog. The room was large, the king sized bed (with memory foam mattress) extremely comfortable and had a lovely modern bathroom. It was spotlessly clean! Roselyn is a lovely hostess and prepares... More

The name of this B&B could not have been better; escapade it is, yet in the vulgar sense of the word. It is actually a private house with two rooms somewhat made available for the guests with the kitchen/dining room shared with the owner and her ever-playful dog. Our room had a lot of kitschy frills and trimmings. Perhaps very... More

This is a very poor conversion of a room in someone's house. Décor looked like it was done by and for an eight year old.The plumbing was not working so a shower was not possible though it was needed as we were repeatedly jumped on by a dog. There was little privacy as the curtains only partly covered the windows.... More
