It's a simple hotel but it's neat at a very nice price. The desk is friendly. Rooms are OK. Most rooms are renovated. and it's in the city centre. And Amboise is one of the nicest small cities in France.

Thank goodness this hotel was just that little distance from 'the action' as the town was filled with motorbikes for the long weekend. Very noisy and throngs of leather-clad individuals filled the cafés. All very civilized, I'm sure, but disconcerting. The town is delightful and close to most of the Loire chateaux. Hotel is charming, as were the staff. Rooms... More

Easy Walking distance into the city. Rooms in this hotel are compact due to the original construction several hundred years back. So the modular bathroom edged into the corner works fairly well, all things considered. Tight staircase takes a bit of effort with bags. Breakfast, below average quality & selection. Two star in most respects, but functional.

My friend and I stayed here for one night in June on a classic motorcycle trip. I have stayed here before and knew what I was getting. A reasonable hotel in a very old building very near to the heart of Amboise with private secure parking nearby. Once again I was not dissappointed. OK the room was an odd shape... More

My family of 4 (two girls 7 & 9) stayed here loved it! Attic room, sloping ceiling, tiny bathroom - but we didn't care a bit. We were happy to be in such a beautiful town and a centrally located hotel within walking distance of all the main sites in Amboise, and reasonably priced - would definitely stay here again.

Charming exterior and lobby but the rooms are on the small side, bathrooms are similar to those watertight pods you'd find on a ferry, and stairways are very narrow. Carpets are a little grim. Breakfast is best avoided and taken elsewhere. However; the beds are decent, the location is superb and staff are pleasant and helpful. This is totally fine... More

We were given a warm welcome, but still had to carry our bags up one flight of narrow stairs. The room was small with a tiny bathroom in the corner but it is still better than walking down the hall in the middle of the night. There was a lot of street noise, but once the window was shut the... More

We came here as a couple and found it very serviceable -- however, the size (and comfort) of the bed and the bathroom were really better for one person, not two. It's very clean and tidy, well located near Amboise's "main drag" and run by a really lovely family with an adorable daughter and dog. Not luxurious, but it works,... More

I will admit I was disappointed with our room as it was in no way cute or quaint. The room, however, was large and clean with a comfy bed. The bathroom is downright ugly, of the plastic, per-fabricated, molded type, but it worked well. The front counter staff was very nice and let us leave our luggage while we toured... More

The welcome at this hotel wasn't particularly warm (our first night of a walking tour) and in retrospect, we're not surprised that they didn't want to show us up to our room on the second floor. It was small, claustrophobic, with an unpolished floor, a tiny dormer window and a sloping ceiling, that meant you couldn't stand up in half... More
