The hotel is located 3km outside of Amboise by a round about on a main road so it suffers from traffic noise for much of the day.
Amboise is a great little town; vibrant with cafes and restaurants of all types and the Chateau and a huge Sunday morning market; it is a good base for visiting the Loire chateaux....

A little bit out of the city. Not recommended if you are without a car.
At first we've had a problem with our room. It had cigarette smoke all over it. We requested the receptionist to allocate us in a different room. She was quite kind and reallocated us in a room with no cigarette traces.

We stayed at Ibis Amboise for one night on our way from Bordeaux to Paris. We chose it due to good experiences we have had with Ibis hotels in other parts of the world - they are usually well priced, clean and in good locations. Normally Ibis are on the edge of town, the rooms are functional and clean and the rate is quite good.
This hotel is 5kms from town, expensive & the worst Ibis we've stayed in. Carpets are awful, bathroom old and dirty and the location is just awful. It's in a really ugly industrial site, right next to a rubbish dump...

A smart and friendly budget hotel close to key historic sites in the Loire Valley. What made our stay was the friendly welcome and site seeing advice from the reception staff. The restaurant is simple but pleasant and the food won't break your budget.
We stayed at the Ibis Amboise for the second time, because we really liked it last year. What we forgot from our stay last year were the creaking floors.
The hotel is located perfectly for people who are on the road, but if you want a hotel close to the center of Amboise (which is lovely!), you’d better look for...
