what a great atmosphere this place has - you feel like you are moving back in time, history oozing out from everywhere. Very comfortable too........i would love to go back one day....
A beautiful building tucked just below the Basillica at the top of the hill with lots of character in the rooms and the cafe downstairs. The room was warm and quiet, even though it has a very high ceiling with stone walls and floor. A great little shower and toilet tucked in an enclave in the room.

We were only at Cabalus one night, but out of the 15 days we spent roaming France, I can honestly say this was the best accomodation we stayed in. An ex ancient monestary next to Vezelay's equally ancient Cathedral, the rooms are large and hewn from stone, with country style furnishings and gorgeous artworks.
