As part of our weekend tour of Burgundy vintners and wine cellars, we spent one night at Le Relais Bernard Loiseau. We were able to take advantage of the Discovery package offered through Relais and Chateaux (there are other packages available). It included one night's stay plus dinner (which included an entree, fish and meat courses, a cheese plate, dessert... More

Stayed here on our way back to Brussels and were amazed. We stayed in a deluxe room which was spacious with a large bathroom, bath, double sinks and shower. It opened onto a terrace which led to the gardens, where you could walk down to the pool, not in October unfortunately. The hotel had 2 open wood fires with comfortable seating where... More

We stayed at Le Relais Bernard Loiseau for three nights in September. It was an excellent experience. The rooms are clean and contemporary with classical details. Bathroom was spacious and enjoyable. Unfortunately it rained most of the time we were in Saulieau, so we did not get to spend time in the garden or at the pool, but they were... More

Le Relais Bernard Loiseau is among the very best that France has to offer, so much so that it is well worth the 100mile(150km) detour we make on our journey from the Channel to the Alps. As you would expect of an establishment with three Michelin stars, every detail is attended to. The service is attentive but never obtrusive. The... More

OK, so it is a bit pricey but belive me you get what you pay for. We had a very large double room with its own garden/seating area. A quick trip up the steps and you are in the hotel garden which has an outdoor pool, a spa, lots of seating areas and thoughtful touches for children too. I could... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during a trip to Paris and Burgundy. When planning our trip, we put a reservation on hold 6 weeks in advance, then found out cancellation would evoke a fee. Usually this hotel would be above what we like to pay, but the experience was one of comfort, charm and exceptional service. The location was... More

the room is quiet, the view on the garden is very nice, bathroom is superb, bed mattress a bit soft for us, the little entrance is very convenient, if you want to sleep well in the dark, ask them to not only close the curtains but also the outside shutters. The breakfast is ok, but their coffee could be better.... More

Make no mistakes this is a very lovely hotel. We stayed in their smallest room and whilst compact and bijou it was very comfortable and well maintained. The hotel is a Relais and Chateau and hence the service is fantastic from the moment you arrive when your car keys are whisked away shortly before your car full of wine is... More

So we diverted across France just to visit this legendary restaurant for its food, but we didn't realise we would find such a delightful room, garden, swimming pool as well. The food was absolutely top notch as was to be expected, including the breakfast on the terrace the following morning. Frog's legs were fantastic, even if you were squeamish before... More

My wife and I enjoyed the most lovely lunch here last week on the occasion of our 25th wedding anniversary. We were so warmly welcomed (it was sunny, which helps!) and, for our aperitif, we were conducted to the terrace, which overlooks their beautifully-kept garden, where we were comfortably seated in the shade of a large parasol. About half-an-hour later,... More
