Hotel has a great location but.... We've been traveling in Europe for over 7 months and have visited 8 countries and have stayed in at least 100 establishments ranging 2-star to 5-star chalets and B&B's. This 2-star hotel is a "dump" which doesn't even rate one star. The bed sagged lengthwise so badly that neither one of us could move... More

This is a fun place for a family visit... given that it is from the 15th century. The room was clean and accommodated a whole family (the kids were in the loft). Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was fine. Clean, old hotel. We recommend.

I strongly recomment this place, which is cheap, central, romantic and historic. It's rare to find all these qualities together. Our room was very big, ancient and with high wooden ceiling. The breakfast is also very well and the parking very reasonable.

Great place for our stopover en route to Italy, quirky room but very nice. The restaurant looked great, only had a drink but seemed very poplar. The staff were very helpful and it's well positioned for the town centre We would certainly recommend.

We booked the place a couple of hours on our way back from skiing in the Alps. This is a 15th Century Coaching house, hence all the doored archways used for parking as you drive in from the road. Even in early January the exterior looks appealing in an old fashioned way. Check in was quick as we had booked... More

I booked a night here in August as an overnight on the way to Provence. The hotel is very quirky in a very old building. I guess from the garages along the courtyard that it was a coaching inn maybe. We booked a parking space and had to manoeuvre in the long barn under the reception and the breakfast room.... More

We too were in Room 4. The huge cobwebs were in place and the room had not been well cleaned. The bathroom was the worst of it - a dirty shower with mould on the ceiling and the walls. Nothing worked well and when we went to ask for assistance at Reception, there was no-one there. We then asked at... More

We were travelling by motorcycles and had booked this place as one of the few places that is close to the centre which has secure parking, and that isn't part of a chain of hotels. On arrival, being very tired after a long journey, I didn't feel the love for the place. The reception wasn't well signposted and it wasn't... More

The location of Du Sauvage is perfect for a visit of Dijon. The building is very old but well maintained and pretty. The staff is friendly and helpful. Expect rooms with character rather than high end modern style interior. Still, internet works fine. If you carry heavy luggage try to get a room on the first floor. You won't want... More

Really good location. Really good value €47 per night. Much better than staying at a youth hostel. Older building so obviously not brand new with older bathroom fittings. Only negative point is that the wifi (although free) does not work very well and drops out all the time, sometimes overnight. It was very frustrating. The older gentleman is great with... More
