We had the Park rooms, which were very poor for 300 euro. They need a good renovation ...thats for sure. The garden is the winner as its very nice. The bistro serves very poor food fro a Relais Chateaux, and while the owners were very charming this is by far the worst value Relais Chateaux we have stayed out out... More

One of the most amazing places I've ever been. Booked this hotel for myself, my girlfriend and my family 6 months in advance to be part of a 2 week vacation to France and Italy. I couldn't help but look at the pictures of the hotel and grounds over and over again in advance because it looked so fantastic. I... More

We have spent a romantic weekend in this beatifully renewed and transformed Abbaye from the 12th century. Both the building and the park are magical. Very good service and excelent food, both in the gastronomique restaurant and the bistro. Strongly suggested if you are in Burgundy. Small remark, houskeeping service needs improvement.

We stayed at the cottage room which is not on the same main building. The experience was special and we felt it would even be better than the main building rooms. The surrounding lake was really nice for afternoon photos and tea. Visited in March 2013 with boyfriend now husband.

There was a warm welcome on arrival and I was given a tour of the extensive public rooms whilst being shown to my room. The hotel is beautifully rennovated and guests are well looked after (generally). Everything was great - until breakfast. Being my first night in France, I was really looking forwards to breakfast of either croissants or pain... More

We stayed in the Ermitage suite, located in a charming outbuilding on the property. We tend to prefer a more traditional decor, so for a future visit, we will book a room in the main building. Also, even though both the website and our confirmation letter stated that our room would have air-conditioning, it did not (I think all the... More

This is a stunningly beautiful hotel both in its location near the Dijon canal and Chateauneauf, the lovely grounds and the cleverly restored abbey itself. It has a very peaceful comfortable atmosphere and is a wonderful place to relax. My favorite thing was sipping Rose wine after a long bike ride on the terrace alone apart from Rosy and Bebe,... What a wonderful collection of beautiful buildings in lovely peaceful grounds. The interiors are as impressive and well maintained as the exterior. We stayed in Fontenay, a bright and comfortable deluxe room overlooking the lake. The weather was very hot and the standalone airconditioning unit was not up to the job. The TV controls were unfathomable - even the owner's... More

Words can't express what a memorable experience this was. The hotel was in a building more beautiful than any I had ever stayed in previously. This history of the area is absolutely fascinating, and the concierge knew all of it and was willing to share as he walked the property with you. The owner, concierge, sommolier, and head waiter were... More

Absolutely beautiful building - the historic design and features are priceless and 1st class. Our room was by far the nicest place we stayed in our two week trip. our room on the 2nd floor had an amazing view of the pond out one window and the fountain out the other. I would have given this review 5 stars except... More
