The good: - Gorgeous, one-of-a-kind hotel grounds and building.Like staying at a museum. - Friendly, personal and professional service. Lovely hosts. - Cozy public bar and separate lounge rooms for guests - Delicious food (Bistro and Restaurant on site) The bad: - A little far from Dijon (but drive is somewhat scenic) - Breakfast is on the simpler side considering... As you drive through the gates and onto the grounds, you know you are somewhere special! Our stay at this hotel was one of the most memorable for the following reasons: • The Building has been beautifully restored and offers a number of elegant parlour rooms and studies; • The Concierge, Michael, is extremely passionate about what he does, very... Knowing the owner's previous hotel in Amberly Castle UK, we expected something special and we were not disappointed. The Abbaye is beautifully converted into a gem of a 'special' hotel. Immaculate service, great rooms and a taster menu to die for. This is not the place for a budget stay but is ideal for a treat or special occasion. The... More

We came here on a foody trip and it was the best hotel by far (although also the best price.....) It has been beautifully restored and decorated. The hunting room in particular was just lovely. The service was excellent. The food very good. The bathrooms with the spa bath just what we needed and we really enjoyed wandering around the... More

Stunning location and hotel, we had great expectations which were definitely met! The room was large and comfortable and situated away from the main part of the abby. The 9 course tasting menu and matching wine was fantastic- each course was beautifully designed.

My expectations were high. This is the #1 rated hotel in Dijon by Trip Advisor reviewers. This hotel exceeded my expectations by a mile. The 9 course tasting menu with the wine tasting was one of the best experiences of my life! Everyone here is so welcoming and professional. Michael greeted us at the taxi and our bags were in... My wife and I love this hotel and longed to return, which we did this autumn. And the second visit made us more aware of its shortcomings given that we were not so overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of the place, which will impress anybody on their first visit. This time we became aware that you can have two totally... More

My wife and myself have stayed here on two previous occasions, so we were well acquainted with the beautiful grounds and idyllic area. No wonder the abbey was built here. Tranquility abounds. We were thwarted in out attempt to stay on a third occasion, as they did not have availabilty on the 3 nights we were staying in the area.... More

On our return from the cote d'azur my wife and I usually take a break half way to England from the long drive by stopping in the great wine region of Burgundy. Having usually stayed at a Relais et Chateaux property in Beaune we were very disappointed that hey were fully booked so I frantically started looking for alternative accommodation.... More
