We were going to an exhibition at the Royal Monastery at Brou - well worth a visit even when there's not something special going on - .and needed somewhere to stay for an overnight stop. The Logis de Brou turned out to be just across the street from the monastery, perfectly placed. From the moment we arrived - in the... More

Found this hotel while in Bourg en B. Ideal with parking and location to some good eateries. It's like visiting a colour blind aunt who found a closing down sale at a paint and decorating store. However like all good aunts the bed was big and comfy and the bath was large and deep. And she doesn't rinse your wallet.... More

We've stayed here once before, and on both occasions we've had a pleasant stay. On this occasion some renovation work was going on outside the hotel, but the proprietress was at great pains to make sure we had a quiet room, away from the noise which, in any case, stopped before the end of the evening. The hotel is, perhaps,... More

The staff and location make this a great hotel! The desk staff were super helpful with making copies that we needed. We were able to use the lounge for meetings. The adjoining rooms were comfortable and reasonable. Overall, this was a wonderful hotel! Highly recommended!

We stayed at this hotel for just one night as a stop between central Italy and the UK. The owner was very friendly and helpful and suggested some restaurants where we could get the famous Bresse chicken. The bedroom was OK although the decor was a little dated. We both had a very good sleep and went down for breakfast... More

My husband, daughter and I (plus our border terrier) spent one night at this very well-run, welcoming hotel on our way from London to the Swiss Alps by car. The proprietor was very helpful, we were offered an upgraded room for a lower tarriff and excellent advice about which local restaurant to go to for dinner. (Incidentally if you dine... More

On our way to Switzerland, travelling as a family, we stayed one night at the Logis de Brou. Looking at the pictures one might expect a slightly common impersonal hotel. The opposite is true. The family that runs this hotel has special attention and practical advises for every guest. We felt at home from the very start. The rooms and... More

My wife, myself and our 4 year old stayed here for one night during July. The 2 star hotel is run with great pride by a lovely French couple. Our bedroom was immaculate although slightly subject to traffic noise in the morning. Breakfast was excellent and we ate dinner at a lovely restaurant 20 yards away. Great room rate and... More

We did not expect much from this hotel as it is only a 2*. How wrong we were. From the moment we arrived the customer service was top notch. We needed a room for 4 people and the largest they provided was 3. We explained that our youngest child could share a bed but they were more than happy to... More

A very nice family business, a sort of "mom & pop" hotel; run by a very sweet and friendly French couple. Rooms are good, we had a nice balcony, PINK bathrooms and a good breakfast. Bourg en Bresse is a nice town. To travel there from Lyon airport by public transport was pretty difficult, make sure you book a reserved... More
