Hotel De France is a great hotel at a very reasonable price. The rooms were simple and extremely clean! The owners were friendly and very helpful with things like dinner reservations. They went above and beyond and worked with us to figure out our rental car dilemma... their hard work and dedication really shows! A great stay in Beaune.

After following recommendations from Trip Advisor site we decided to try this hotel and it was exactly as stated. We found an excellent family run hotel with a not to be missed evening meal and good value breakfast. Friendly attentive service and good value for Beaune. We'll be back. Walker/ Hutchinson

We stayed in Beaune overnight on our way back to Paris. The hotel is very convenient for drivers and train travelers, because it is right next to the Beaune train station. I was concerned that the train noise would bother me overnight, but the hotel is pretty well sound-insulated when the windows are closed. The management is friendly and helpful.... More

Stayed at this hotel for a night on a return trip to the South of France. The hotel was easy to find, the proprietor was extremely helpful and spoke very good english. The room was clean, pleasant and comfortable. The hotel itself is located just outside the town's medieval wall, but only a five minute walk to the 'centre ville'.... More

I don't know if we were unlucky and got the wrong room, however furniture were very old, carpets on the floor and shower curtains quite dirty and didn't smell good. it's very close to the Train Station and trains don't stop during night. I wouldn't come back, even for one fourth of the price.

The hotel is about 20 yards from the railway station which was ideal as we traveled by train but obviously has the downside that this proximity brings. It didn't impinge too much.
