We did not have any reservations for lodging on a Sunday, a mistake in this part of France. Most properties we checked between Artemare and Beaune were closed and we learned this is typical for hotels on Sundays in this rather rural area of France. This Logis property is located directly across for the train station and both it and... More

The hotel is located on the outskirts of the town centre but is within walking distance. THe location isn't great unless you're catching a train, the station is just yards away. However the rooms are clean and comfortable and what stood out for us was the restaurant. We had an excellent meal accompanied by fine local Beaune wine. If you're... More

As others have commented, the Hotel de France is easy to get to and to park outside, whilst also with easy reach of the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is popular with walking tours and was full of life when we arrived. We stayed in a duplex room, to the delight of our kids... More

Clean and nice hotel, in front of the station (really practical for anyone travelling by train). With a 10 minute walk from the hotel you can reach Beaune center. We stayed in a family room with 4 confortable beds and private bathroom. The room was quite small but perfectly clean.

We stayed overnight two weeks ago, on our way drive from Geneva to Paris. It was a great room with 4 single beds, a big bathroom and free wi-fi. It comfortably accommodated my family of four.We were able to walk to the center of town from here. The check in and check out was very smooth and they spoke to... More

First of all, this is located directly across from the train station, which is a big plus. Secondly, the staff there could not be more friendly or helpful, from the owners/managers to the waitresses. The room was basic but when we had an issue locating a plug for the unique bathtub for my wife, they went overboard trying to resolve... More

Location couldn't be better, right across from train station. The windows were new ,so we couldn't hear the trains that much. Walking distance from places to see in town. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, there are 2 bakeries very close by, where you can by coffee and other stuff. If you are planning on renting a bike there's... More

When we arrived at Hotel de France we found it hard to believe that it was listed as only 2 star. The charming and helpful young woman at reception insisted on carrying the heavier of our suitcases up to our first floor room, despite being assured that we could manage. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was... More

Dear Anne, Thank you very much for taking the time to place your nice comments about your stay with us. Our Hotel has actually been reclassified 3 stars by the new french regulation last year. We are not willing to develop a luxuary type of service but you have noticed our staff does its very best to assist our clients... More

1. The hotel is literally across the street from the Beaune train station which is super convenient. 2. The bedroom windows are pretty soundproof as well for those who'd be bothered by passing trains. 3. Rooms are simple and clean but fairly spacious compared to anything in Paris (of course). 4. Nicolas and Virginie are the nicest people as well... More

We stayed here 3 nights, in order to savor the wine area and food. Staff were very welcoming and spoke good English. There was a secure car park in garage, but you had to reserve in advance, as there are limited spaces. Plenty of other car parking at railway station car park opposite. We had last available room on second... More
