By my standards, Chateau de Melin was outstanding! It was in a good location for visiting other chateaus, castles, wineries, and close to good restaurants. Hosts were fantastic and the breakfasts were spectacular with everything freshly baked. Accommodations were excellent. Every room has been recently renovated. Big comfortable beds and lots of space. Powerful showers. I highly recommend staying here... More

We stayed here for two nights while we toured Burgundy and were so impressed by the Chateau and loved the host Helen. She greeted us when we first arrived and gave a short tour around up to our room which was incredibly renovated and huge. They also had a wine refrigerator in the room which was such a nice touch... Chateau de Melin is a dream come true. The chateau, with its oldest parts built in 1557 is akin to stepping back in time and into a fairytale-like realm. My one regret was that we could not stay longer. This chateau is set ina park-like setting, surrounded by vineyards, including some owned by the chateau. The proprietor, Helene, is a... More

This old chateau-like B&B is situated within a beautiful green estate, an awesome representation of the peaceful country feeling of Burgundy. Our room had its own private entrance and stairs, leading to the interior that's spacious and clean. I was very charmed by the courtyard view through our big window. The owner/host Helene was very friendly and accommodating. We decided... More

Stayed here for 3 weeks as a foreign exchange with their younger son Thomas. The parents were very nice and the food was great. My room was great and it was an overall good experience. The surrounding area was great and this was my first time in Europe. I reccomend staying here

This is a great place to stay. The owner greeted us warmly upon arrival and showed us our room. The room was spacious and nicely decorated and had a large window looking out towards the hillside and courtyard. Behind the chateau, there was a road leading to the village of St. Romain, a 30 minute walk through vineyards and woodlands... More

The rooms are nice and the breakfast is good. However, the treatment of their dog might spoil your appetite. As he "bites" the guests he is locked away outside in a fenced area and a hut with only bare boars to lie on. Water available was rain water because "the boys were told to give him water and obviously had... More

We just got back from staying 3 nights in the chateau, it was wonderful. The surrounding region of Burgundy is a must see. The rooms were decorated very nicely, beds comfy. The grounds were exceptional. The owners were so helpful and there wines were our favorites. I would love to come back again and bring our kids to enjoy all... More

Stayed here with family one night en route to Switzerland from Paris .Owners were wonderful to us and provided clean accomodations with a great breakfast . Kids were impressed with the rural farm surroundings and authentic chateau accomodations. While rooms were reasonably updated ,hallways ,staircases etc were pretty much as they were hundreds of years ago . Very much a memorable... More

I stayed here for two nights in the fall. The room is very spacious and nicely decorated in a rustic way. My first night there seemed to be an issue with the hot water and it took quite awhile for it to heat up. I did think that $150 euros is rather expensive for a bed and breakfast. Breakfast is...
