Stayed here twice, 2004 and 2006 on wine buying vacations. Ideally situated for the Burgundy region, and ideal for a day out to explore the Chablis region. After a long car journey from Provence via Lyon and the interminable auto route toll queues, pulling into Grillon was heavenly. We recently spent 3 nights in Beaune at the Hotel Grillon. Can't speak more highly of our stay there (and it was the cheapest of our 3 week visit to Italy and France at 105E/night)! We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Grillon. The room had been recently refurbished and was quiet, comfortable and clean. We didn't 'hang out' at the hotel so we can't comment on quality of breakfast, dinner etc. Free parking was a bonus. We stayed for just two nights on a touring holiday. To look at the hotel is none too inspiring but inside all is very pleasant and clean.
