We stayed here 3 nights in October 2009. This is a beautiful hotel withing walking distance of all the sights. Friendly English speaking staff. Computer with internet available to guests. Easy to find. Food is limited to multi-course dinners that we found too expensive to consider. But, do have a glass of wine in the lovely bar area or terrace.... more

The hotel was initally our second choice to the excellent Hotel de Poste where we had stayed on several previous occasions. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Hotel Le Cedre: the staff were attentive/friendly; the room was lovely and dinner in the beautiful restaurant was magnificent. Just spent three nights there: Classy room with good air conditioning. Staff very friendly with great English. Really can't undersatand other reviews. We used the hotel garage for our car which was great, but with a little imagination there is plenty of parking around. We stopped here twice this year for one night on the way to the South of France from London and back. It is perfectly located, 5 drive minutes from the Autoroute and 2 minutes walk to the centre of Beaune. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. The family room is large and comfortable. Highly recommended. more

Nice hotel with superb restaurant. Good service throughout our two night stay and there is a very cosy bar for apperitifs / night cap. Decor a little tired, particularly bathrooms and 4* rating perhaps slightly generous. Would definitely recommend as base if staying in Burgundy / Beaune for two or three nights. more
