Okay, so our first impressions of Grand St Jean weren't as we hoped; it doesn't look like the photo on Tripadvisor and, once inside, it seemed a little dated. You shouldn't, as is commonly said, judge a book by the cover though aw we had a lovely time there. Our room request had been fully met (a quiet one overlooking... More

Good location about 300m from the centre of Beaune. Hotel has plenty of secure private parking. The room was a good size possibly because it also had a disabled wet room bathroom! We had a room in the old hotel (rather than the modern wing at the rear) but even facing the street there was no traffic noise. A good... More

Excellent hotel, very friendly staff all speak excellent English and even put up with my bad French! Minutes walk from town with plenty of good restaurants available. Wine museum is worth a visit as is the Church. Nightime light show on the front of the Church, and other buildings, is very good. Wine shops every 10 yards, could spend a... More

As a solo I stayed in double room. The room was on second floor, facing cortyard and was very quiet. There was air condition in the room, but as is usually in France, there was no fridge. On the buffet breakfast there was no eggs, frutits or vegetables. The location of the hotel is excelent (ten minutes walking from the... More

This hotel is in a great location, and only a leisurely stroll to all the major attractions. Friendly and helpful staff. We found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable, and the section we stayed in was obviously just renovated. Secure parking is a great extra.

We had a two night stop in Beaune where we were out experiencing the town and did not spend long in the room and found this hotel an ideal balance between cost, comfort and location. Rooms were reasonably sized and furnished, clean but nothing fancy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable and there is secure parking on... More

The location is perfect for exploring the city. Friendly and caring staff. Small but good shower with the bathroom, but they do not have shampoo. Although the room stand facing the street we had no problems with external noise, and being a little away from the elevator also helped us not be bothered by internal noise. Didn't like the fact... We were only in Beaune for two nights, which is really the perfect amount of time for this small town, & this hotel was fine for our stay. It is VERY basic (no amenities at all, so bring your own shampoo!), but it is clean & the location is good. You can walk from the train station (with light luggage)... More

This hotel is in a great location, as it is quite central. Its a good place to stop over, but the breakfast was mixed. Perhaps it is partly due to being spoilt as French coffee is generally excellent, but sadly this wasn't the best I've tried. That said, rooms were clean and parking is on site and secure, and it isn't... More

10 minutes walk from Hospices de Beaune this hotel is all about location and parking. The staff were lovely and the room we had was big enough (we had a travel cot) and a large clean bathroom. The breakfast and coffee was not great. It's a very convenient location and I'll recommend it for a short stop over.
