Our stay at the hotel gave us a great medieval experience. The 12th century abbaye is perfectly renovated and offers however all furnsihing required from a fastidious hotel guest. The booked Junior Suite offered a nice bathroom and a cosy bedroom including ambiance lightning for a romantic night...;) Due to the construction of the building, the hotel isn't adapted for... More

We stayed here overnight on our way from Geneva, Switzerland to Paris and it took us back 800 years or so. A hotel in an abbey is something that is not offered every day and we enjoyed it very much. Our room was not large, but it had everything we needed, including WIFI. It was difficult getting our luggage up... More

We spent a week in france this week and Beaune was a perfect base to travel upper and lower burgandy, the town it's self of Beaune is just beautiful, driving down the cobbled streets to find this hidden gem! The lovely lady at reception was very helpful, showed us everything to do whist staying and all the hidden treasures, room... More

I don't care where you live, but you probably DON'T live in a 12th century abbey! This is truly a special place and the staff are wonderful - very invested in this, their hotel, and the comfort of their clients. Beaune is beautiful - we rented bicycles to go up into the vineyards, which was fantastic and so easy. I... More

Set in a small street in the heart of Beaune in Burgundy is this exceptionally stylish and quirky hotel. It has 12 lovely and individual modern rooms which marry exceptionally well with the 12th century features. Thought, effort, love and a lot of money have been poured into this establishment and the result is palpable. The staff are a credit... More

We stayed for three nights in a small but well appointed room. The hotel is an amazing place all on its own. The owners of the hotel are just lovely and are willing to help with anything at all. The hotel is also in a fabulous location in the centre of Beaune. A wonderful stay!!!

The hotel is built in a an old Abbey and has had to adapt itself to the constraints that involves -getting to our room involved two lots of circular stairs which would have been tough if we had any problems walking or going upstairs. The rooms ( we had two ) both had a small lobby with a sofa or... More

We stayed in this hotel en route to the South of France. The Abbaye was a wonderful atmospheric historic hotel located in the centre of Beaune. We had a small room which was beautifully appointed with a large very comfortable bed and a fabulous modern bathroom. All of the staff were very welcoming and spoke very good English and the... More

The Abbaye was fabulous! We had 2 rooms. Both rooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable, as well as modernized without taking away from the historic charm of this 12th century building. Staff was very hospitable, and helpful; everyone spoke very good english and the proprietor was onsite every day that we were there. We did not have dinner in... More
