a friend and I shared two adjacent rooms at the Beaune Mercure hotel.. Welcome was perfect, prepayment worked, our dinner was fine (including their marvellous jambon persillé and a half bottle of Beaune Ier cru. But our rooms, although just refurbished, had the saqme problem: bad lighting, not enough lighting. It is nearly impossible to read one's paper . How... More

We were in a refurbished room which was ok - the room is on the small side. Plus side, locked secure car park so good if you are on the move and staying overnight in Beaune as we were. We could walk to the centre of town in 10 minutes whilst leaving our car safely at the hotel. Didn't get... More

OK, it might not be some chic boutique place, but for what you pay it's good, stayed in far more expensive places that have not been anywhere near as good. Spent three nights here on way to and from languedoc. Firstly, great location, easy to find and only a short walk from all the sights in Beaune. Loads of free... More

Small rooms, but ours refurbished nicely. Problem is check in procedure. We were not told that around 9pm each evening they lock the front gate. We read the sign that said push the button, but could not find it as it was dark by that time. After about 10 minutes a car drove up and with their lights we were... More

First of all I would like to thank you far taking time to post this comment. Indeed, to assure the safety of our guests and their goods, the gate is closed at 9 pm. Nevertheless an intercom is available at the gate to contact reception and get the gate opened. We have 3 breakfast offers : The "all-you-can-eat" buffet, room... More

Stayed at the hotel overnight on the way to Paris, our rooms were not quite ready on arrival but we were provided with complimentary drinks by the pool and within 30 mins they were ready. The only complaint I have of this hotel is the actual rooms and again they are not bad just a little dated and small compared... More

Wardrobe tiny and no other storage area in the room foro clothes making this a Hotel for a 1 night stay at best rather than the 3 days we were here which meant we coulodn't wait to leave. Plenty of secure parking. Somewhat tricky access because of the dual carriageway outside. Excellent staff on reception. We had a standard, very small room for two nights - shoe box came to mind. The beds were comfortable but the decor was very tired. The bathroom was dated but functional. Good buffet breakfast with hot items. Dinner menu not very exciting... More
