This is more of a motel style place which was a coaching inn and there is a range of rooms, those further back from the road are more expensive but ours was very quiet even though near the front. Parking is inside the courtyard and secure. Rooms are basic but perfectly fine and clean. Breakfast is very good and the... More

Superb hotel just on the fringe of Beaune. Booked a room on the garden - really the inner courtyard - and had the two most restful nights sleep of my entire trip. So much so that on my first night I overslept until nearly 11am and missed breakfast. Staff were extremely friendly and informative, evening drinks in the bar before... More

Courtyard room a little dated but clean & modern bathroom. Breakfast excellent value with fresh fruit, various cheeses & hams as well as usual breakfast fare. Walk 7 mins into centre, nice to do after long car journey, well lit streets. Car parked outside room & gates locked at 10 pm. Nice to sit outside room to watch swifts fly... More

What a lovely Hotel this is in Beaune. Suggest you ask for the newer rooms as it did look like there were some older, perhaps not so nice rooms. We had room 22 and it was lovely and clean with our own little table and chairs outside. The room was modern and new looking. If you are walking into reception... More

Though we only spent one night on our way south, the Bretonniere served us well. We chose the less expensive garden rooms since the weather is cool in April. (as noted, there are no operable windows) The rooms were clean, functional and nothing to write home about, with a very nice large remodeled bathroom. They had a musty smell but... More

Having read some of the other reviews I notice most are of courtyard rooms. Ours was in the main building and was comfortable, clean and pleasant with a view over the garden where our car was very safely parked. Staff were nice and helpful especially over a wine delivery I arranged from one of the local shops. Didn't have breakfast... More

We stayed only one night, but found this Hotel to be much better value that its neighboring property. We had a garden room.which needs updating, although the bathroom was superb and new. The room was clean, but slightly 1980's in appearance and decor. Breakfast was good- choice and service being well up to expectations.Parking in our case was right outside our... More

It is really nice and very cosy! We went for a late October weekend in a small group of 5 adults and 1 child and we had the duplex garden suites (one with the bedroom on the mezzanine and one with two individual bedrooms and respective bathrooms upstairs - with windows in the roof, really nice), parking is also in... The rooms are arranged round 3 connecting courtyards. You go through the first courtyard (rooms numbered 11, 12 etc), through the second (rooms numbered 21, 22 etc) and through to the final one (rooms 31, 32 etc). So it follows that the quietest rooms are in the thirties, which is where we were. They call it their Duplex extension, and... More

We stayed here 3 nights whilst discovering the lovely town of Beaune. We booked a duplex room which has a small lounge, an ensuite and a mezzanine bedroom with beams. The rooms are chalet style in the courtyard of the hotel and have an area at the front with a table and chairs. Also, it is possible to park immediately... More
