We stayed at the Chateau for four days and discovered Burgundy during that time. Visiting wineries, undertaking tours of the region and tasting the food at the wonderous Burgundian eateries. It is a pity that more do not stay longer at Chateau de Challanges. It is far enough from Beaune to be in a quiet, quaint environment but close enough... More

This old (sort of) Chateau is very good restored: modern combined with traditional in a very harmonious way. We had a nice suite in the old building with a separate bedroom and lounge. The bathroom was too small for such a suite. Beautiful garden and nice pool. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice bar, very good breakfast outside in the garden.... More

The chateau, more a small stately home, is located just a couple of miles outside the old town of Beaune in quiet and peaceful surroundings and with its own lovely garden and fountain. We had a suite, which was on the small side, but comfortable and well-furnished in partly Louis XIV style. Staff were helpful and friendly. We spent 2... More

An excellent stop off after 4 weeks of travelling across Europe. A real treat. The swimming pool was a welcome retreat after a long journey. The receptionist was very welcoming and booked us in to an amazing restaurant for dinner. My only criticism was that we booked a beautiful suite, the bed room and lounge area stunning, but the design... More

This property is gorgeous and has a wonderful staff. The grounds are very well kept with lovely gardens. There is a little bar on the first floor to grab a drink or you can sit outside on their patio. The only downside is that it is a little bit outside of the town and is not ideally located if you... We recently spent a night at the Chateau de Challanges en route from Paris to Cannes. As we wanted to visit a couple of wineries we selected this area. The grounds of the Chateau are beautiful but the room we had was very disappointing. Very dusty, mold in the shower, tiles that had come off in the bathroom, spider webs... More

Chateau de Challanges is really one of my favourite places in the world. Those days we stay here every year are the most relaxed days of the year. Starting from the arrival you don't have to worry about a thing. The rooms (we always take a suite in the main building) are spacious, clean and quite luxurious. The setting is... More

A quiet location although close to the motorway. The Chateau is surrounded by a large amount of land providing excellent car parking to one side of the building. There is a small swimming pool surrounded by a wire fence with a gate, a bad design as it would have been much nicer landscaped into the garden. The pool was too... More
