We went here due to the high reviews on Trip Advisor, and while it was nice, it was our biggest disappointment in the 7 places we stayed in France during our trip. Compared to Jardins des Lois, where we also stayed in Beaune, this place was more expensive, a worse location, with worse amenities. Chateau du Challanges stated it had... more

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during part of a 2-week stay in France. We wish we would have booked longer. We did book one of the suites and the room was the nicest we had our entire trip. Very plush, clean, and modern but the hotel still had lots of small-size charm. The town of Beaune... more

This was a nice B&B just outside of Beaune. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We arrived at about 1 or so. Check-in isn't until 3 or so, but we were allowed to check-in early. They fixed us a plate of meat and cheeses the day we arrived, since we were tired from the train travel from Paris to... more

This is a great place to stay. The staff were friendly, accomodating, and helpful. Restaurant suggestions were thoughtful and excellent (as another reviewer, we also ate one night at La Garaudiere in the neighboring village). The location was lovely and quiet, and very convenient for exploring Burgundy. Others might prefer being right in town, but I prefer something with a... more

Chateau de Challanges was exactly the place we were looking for while experiencing the Burgundy region. It was quaint and quiet, very easy to find, and felt like we were staying at our own private chateau. All the staff were extremely helpful in giving us advice on restaurants, places to visit /drive on the wine trail, and any other request... more

We decided to have a suite which had lovely decor, clean, fully equipped and great view of the gardens. The staff were excellent, owners friendly and informative and very helpful by arranging a tasting at a small local wine producer. We returned with our purchases and they kindly suggested to keep our wines in a cool secure outbuilding so the... more

This lovely restored chateau is surrounded by elegant grounds (including a modern swimming pool) in the small hamlet of Challenges, a quick drive outside of the City of Beaune. Be sure to get a map as finding the chateau can be challenging otherwise, but once you know the route it is easy to go back and forth. You will also... more

We just spent two nights at this hotel which is located just outside of Beaune (less than 10 minutes). We booked the suite for 160 Euros per night (which seemed like a bargain after having spent some time in Paris). The room was spacious with a separate bedroom, bathroom and family room area with a TV. The buffet breakfast was... more

The hotel is very well located near Beaune. You need to have a car, otherwise I would reserve in a hotel within Beaune. The rooms are clean. We stayed in a suite on the first floor. Be aware that the hotel does not have a lift. There is no restaurant at the premises either. The staff was very friendly with... more

We enjoyed a lovely two days here on our way from Calais to the Italian & French Rivieras. For just 192 Euros total (booked through France-Bookings) we enjoyed 2 nights B&B in one of the attic rooms, which although at the "value-end" were more than acceptable for our purposes. Chateau de Challanges is well located just off the AutoRoute and... more
