We stayed overnight in Autun and found the hotel comfortable and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food, however, was the real highlight. Dinner was excellent with various local specialities available. The service was professional and friendly but not snobby. Breakfast was a little pricey at 11.50 per person but worth it as they had lots to offer... More

Lovely hotel. The owner & his staff were very friendly & extremely pleasant. I ate at the hotel and it was the best meal I had whilst in France. It is centrally located, approx 10 min walk from the train/bus station. I would recommend this hotel.

we dined in your restaurant on the 31 August and are writing to say how much we enjoyed the experience. The meal was excellent, your staff were friendly, very attentive and kept an eye on us without being obtrusive. It was a very pleasant evening and good value for money. When we pass Autun again we will return for a... More

After reading so many glowing reviews, this hotel was a disappointment. We love old buildings, and this one had character -- but, sadly, no real charm. Our room was small, the furnishings dated, and didn't appear to be air-conditioned. Our windows opened onto a fairly busy street, so there was a fair amount of noise.

Relatively convenient stopping off point en route from Provence to the Channel tunnel this is a very pleasant Logis in the heart of historic Autun. The hotel is friendly and our room was clean and well furnished. The staff were also very welcoming throughout the stay. We ate in the restaurant and this was excellent with a good menu choice... While on a moto trip we stopped for the night in Autun, France. We chose the Logis de La Tete Noire without looking around too much. The hotel is in a good location for exploring Autun and offered a nice room. There was a little street noise but not too bad. The hotel, rooms and restaurant are cheerfully decorated with... More

This was just what was needed for a comfortable, characterful hotel near the centre and Cathedral of Autun. The town is great in itself and also a wonderful stopping place en route for further south. Parking was OK over the weekend but might be more difficult on working days.

We are 'value' travellers when it comes to lodging and we like family-run smaller hotels. It is also a fine thing when the hotel features a restaurant that follows the same philosophy. We just spent six weeks, mostly in 'rural' France (small but fine cities) and this is one of the places we long to revisit. We booked well in... More

Travelling often in Autun for business, I love to spend my time in this hotel. The personell use to take care of you as you are an old friend, the food is very good, the rooms are in the standard, free wifi available, close to downtown. Really, when I'm there I feel like at home, and this is important for... More

I used to live in Autun and this is by far the best restaurant when you want a nice evening meal in a restaurant rather than a brasserie. Friendly staff and really top quality food. Lots of choice on the menu and everything cooked to perfection. The prices are also very low.
