Stayed here as a stop over to the South of France with our two teenage boys. When we arrived at 8pm the Receptionist was freindly and very helpful and as we had been driving for 8 plus hours, we (foolishly) booked to eat in the hotel restaurant. Overall the building is lovely but need much TLC to bring it up... more

The room was a bit small and the beds were short. If you are over 6' 2" it may be a problem. No shower in bath, just a very small tub. The parking garage was dingy and very odorous! Very pretty courtyard. Location was close enough to walk to the upper village. Many places to eat. We chose a crepes... more

After reading the previous two reviews we wondered if they had been staying in the same Hotel! We had intended to stay in Beaune but left after finding it so busy and expensive. Found Les Ursulines after following signs through the winding streets of the old town. We were given a room (standard) overlooking the cloisters with a view of... more

A colleague and I had a business meeting close to Autun so decided to stay here. As soon as we walked in we realised that the place must have seen better days. As a conference was going on there were no standard rooms and we had to upgrade to suites. These were no more than family rooms but we were... more

My wife and I stayed at Les Ursulines for two nights in March 2008. The hotel has the perfect location in a beautiful setting, but there ends Ursulines' charm. We were given Room 120 (renovated and previously reviewed), which looked out over the serene courtyard. The room is compact, but size was not the problem. Our issue was the room's... more

Travelling to find this hotel in a large car was a challenge, but woth it when we wound our way up to the hotel in a narrow cobbled street. Staff very friendly at check in, amazing setting in an old convent. Lift small but adequate. The rooms were large with large wooden beams in the ceiling. Nice big Bath in... more

My wife and I stayed here 2 nights in July. We had one of the newly renovated rooms with A/C (room 120). It looked out on to the beautiful courtyard. When we arrived our room had two double beds which we had switched to a queen quickly without any problems what so ever. The room was on the small side... more

Quiet town, perfect for walking around, beautiful view, history gallore, room was nice, but only a tub, and no air conditioning. These things would not hinder us from staying there again. The courtyard is beautiful with Ivy growing up the sides of the buildings. We booked on [--]. more

We entered this hotel one evening after travelling all day - it seemed like an oasis, hovering above a beautiful city but within the city. A short walk takes you to the Cathedral and the Place. Dinner was served with much aplomb and the food was utterly delicious. I will never forget the chocolate souffle ! Our room was spacious... more

Hotel Les Ursulines, a former Ursuline convent, is one of the finer hotel in Autun. It's a short block to the famous St. Lazare Cathedral. It's very quiet and peaceful here. But the room we got was tiny! Just large enough for a king bed, two small nightstands and a small table with one chair. I will say that the... more
