You get a lovely country feel about this large mill, which still has a bit of work to go before it is fully restored. The rooms are massive and the owners lovely. It is a quiet village near Chablis, just right for our halfway stop on our way to the French alps. We ate a simple but substantial meal with... More

We stopped over here on our way to Lyon and it was a very lovely place to stop. We arrived late and therefore couldn't have diner there but heard good things from other travelers at breakfast. Our room was huge with bathroom and toilet (both in the private bedroom and seperate from one another). The room was clean and well... More

We wanted to make a great comment about this place that welcomes us very friendly! The building is quite impressive and you can easily heard the water from the old mill. The owners are really nice and even if we did not book for the dinner, we had a great chance to share it with them and the others customers.... More

We chose this place as a one night stopover whilst travelling through France because of favourable reviews on tripadvisor. One of the main selling points was the evening meal offered on the website for 28 euros, again with favourable reviews on tripadvisor. We emailed ahead with our request and looked forward to meeting others at dinner. The place is large... More

So we went to Burgundy for some fun bike riding and wine touring. We stayed here and the dirt roads and surrounding towns all came together form a peaceful and very memorable experience. Night one we stayed in and had dinner getting to know our host and hostess--very sweet and kind and full of gumption to leave Paris and start... More

We spent just one night in high summer at this lovely place with our two children in a very reasonably priced family room. The location is idyllic, with the river, which is safe for swimming, meandering alongside the mill. The hosts were warm, vibrant and interesting people who succeeded in stimulating conversation among six guests and two children who did not all speak... The setting is a beautiful village near Chablis, nestling in the fertile rolling farmland of northern Burgundy. The Moulin itself is an imposingly grand, early nineteenth century mill in its own grounds. At the front is the picturesque mill pond which adds an air of tranquility to the gardens and entrance. The building has been sympathetically modernised and our room... More

We enjoyed our stay at this Bed & Breakfast. The accommodations are basic meaning the rooms are clean and functional but nothing special. We had some problems with the hot water. However what made the stay memorable were the hosts who were very friendly and helpful. We chose to have dinner at the Moulin and I would highly recommend to... More

We stayed at the Le Moulin de Poilly-sur-Serein this summer. The Moulin (mill) was kind of dark and dank. Our room was clean but smelled of mildew. I guess that should be expected when staying in an old mill. Breakfast was good and the owners were very helpful!
